Review Nono's Tacos - Austin

Michael Hodson
I had high hopes based on the tacos looked, but they were good, not great. Did three breakfast tacos. Steak, bacon, and chorizo, all with egg on flour tortillas. First thing is that they are really cheap. About $2 per. The tortillas are always the key and these are just OK. Felt a little rubbery, although they are warmed up before serving. Not bad but any means, but just not great. Fillings are good for the money. More eggs would probably help the tortilla issue since you'd have a little more to counter balance there. Three and a half stars. Upgraded for friendly staff.

La comida esta super deliciosa y auténtica! Los chilaquiles estan ricos y picosos🤪 This place has really great food! It was so good I didn't get to take a picture of the other dishes we got before we devoured them. The area is a little sketchy since there's a lot of people that hang around the outside of the corner store, but they will leave you alone. It never hurts to be aware of your surroundings, give this place a try I bet you won't regret it!

Chicharron and beans. Potato, egg and cheese. You cannot go wrong and the quality is akin to the food made with love in my Grandmother's kitchen. Highly, Highly recommend.

Everybody keeps saying the area is sketch but don’t let it stop you from coming here, the food was fire. I was craving breakfast tacos and this popped up. I got 3 breakfast tacos for $6, best money I’ve ever invested. I was so full too. The food took kinda long which means they cook to order. My tacos came out in aluminum foil which kept them piping hot throughout my whole meal. This is a spot I’m definitely going to be supporting in the future.

This is some of the best Mexican food I've had. The Birria is so tasty. The location and folks hanging around are a little sketchy, but give it a shot. It'll be worth the risk.

Hole in the wall. Neighborhood spot with authentic Mexican food. Good quality and amazing prices ! They also serve breakfast tacos all day . Perfect for a quick lunch .

My friend recommended this place spur of the moment and it was his birthday so we went. The food is authentic and, more importantly, delicious. I highly recommend this establishment as a place of quality and, better yet, affordable.

This place is definitely underrated. They sell some really authentic Mexican food and have a nice collection of menu items. The place is run by some awesome people and they serve food hot. I admit that Texmex has ruined authentic Mexican food for me but I’ll still recommend this place. Their Sopes were the best and next were the Campechanos. They accept contactless payment options like Apple Pay which is awesome. It is a tiny hole in the wall and my only complain will be - it is situated in a shady part of the town. The seating inside is supper limited and there are a few seated out front.

I generally pick up 12-18 tacos weekly for breakfast at the office, freshly made, lightly toasted tortillas, great selection and service. Please stop in and give them a try.

The breakfast tacos were wonderful we had breakfast tacos and the breakfast sandwich everything was amazing especially the sauces the red and green sauce were both hot but wonderfully flavored. Can't say enough about their service they're really helpful at the window and quick and efficient at everything they did. Everything was made fresh to order and the tortillas were made in house!

I've been going to this place for years and just realized I haven't ever written a review. This place deserves every 5-star review coming its way because the tacos are better than anything else I've found in Austin, and are incredibly affordable. I discovered this place with my ex, but even the memory of her doesn't stop me from coming and eating y'all's delicious tacos 😂

I just moved my business to this area and let's just say it's Bartertown during the day and thunderdome at night. But I'm trying every food place within a two mile area one at a time. Nono's was my first and it's on the crappiest corner in probably all of Austin. But the food is awesome. Everthing I've had so far has been delicious and I've turned some other people onto nono's as well and they love it too. So lock your car and keep your mace in hand and eat everything they have. They also do a great rotisserie chicken deal.

Pretty good food! I tried this place with some friends. They ordered tacos mostly: campechana, fajita and chicharrón. I ordered a Pambazo. All so good! PS: The neighborhood where this place is located is a bit sketchy, so I would recommend ordering To-go.

Really great authentic Mexican food, the area is scary but it makes it taste that much better

The birria ramen is soooo good! I found my spot for quick but delicious soup.

What a gem! Their grande burrito is so delicious, I literally crave for it every morning. Yes, all their locations are in pretty sketchy areas, but how else can they serve their community at an affordable price point? It’s amazing. Source: trust me bro. But seriously, trust me, it’s amazing.

Sketchy part of town, no drinks, good breakfast tacos, clean, friendly staff. Green sauce has a bite but tasty !!! Red sauce….911 🥵
