Taj Palace Indian Cuisine - Austin - Photo album

My family and I have been dining here for over 2 decades, beginning 25 years ago when we managed a shoe store next to them and tried their food. This is the first and best Indian food we've eaten so far which says a lot since we've tried many. The atmosphere is pleasantly mysterious with its beautif
The best Indian food I have had in Austin. The decor is beautiful and makes a very pleasant atmosphere. EVERYTHING was very tasty but I LOVED the deep fried spinach, the mixed vegetables, chick peas and fried rice. I have always hated goat but Taj Palace has the BEST GOAT I HAVE EVER EATEN...I had
Delicious food filled with rich flavor. Great vegetarian and vegan options. Romantic, calm atmosphere, and attentive service that's perfect for a date night or weeknight meal out when you don't feel like cooking. I highly recommend!
This is better than your average indian buffet joint. The taste here is very different from the other india restaurants that are heavily influenced by south india cuisine. The food is fresh, less oily and delicious. Worth a visit.
Nice place. We had thali. Food was good but not outstanding in any manner. I had similar food at a lots of other places.
Great reasonably priced buffet with classic options, and things I haven't tried before. Samosas were perfect, and the service was great - not too much, not too little. would definitely return and would recommend.
Great food, wonderful service my first time here and i enjoyed every bite.
Some of the best Indian I've had! Very flavorful. They are not afraid to use spice. It's not spicy just very very flavorful. The Monday dinner buffet is fantastic! Can't wait to come back for the all vegetarian Tuesday Disney buffet. Yum!
I rarely write reviews, but this place deserves it. Overall, a fantastic experience. We ordered two dishes: chicken vindaloo and vegetable korma. Both were to our liking. The food was ready quickly. The portions were large, but we liked it so much that we kept eating until we had too much. The mango
Food was amazing. The Indian nachos (I think they were called "crisps"?) They were cold, it was weird, but not bad. The taste was still good, but I could help but wonder if they would be better piping hot. Who knows, I'm no Gordon Ramsey. 4/5 stars, will definitely go again. Service was 10/10 CAN
I don't know anything about Indian food but I keep coming back. The buffet allows one to zero in on the items best liked. The fried spinach is not to be missed. Try many types of curries. Soups are always good. Great flat bread.
I love this place. The decor is pleasant, as is the atmosphere. The service has always been good to us, with drinks and food coming out in a timely manner. The staff has been friendly and knowledgeable of the menu. -- ready to make suggestions. Their vindaloo was great, flavorful, savory, and spicy
This place was great. We got one of their 3 course meals, and it was delicious and filling. This is some of the best Indian food in Austin. The host, and servers were all friendly and professional. I would definitely recommend this restaurant to anyone who enjoys Indian food.
Pretty standard American Indian eatery. Has all the go to Indian dishes. I tried their Lunch Buffet. There was plenty of options. The staff was nice and friendly. The $10.95 price tag for the lunch Buffet falls somewhere between steep and fair. The Goat Curry was definitely my favorite. Plenty of pa
