Phoenicia is one of those places you walk into and you just think, “I’m glad these kinds of places still exist.” When you don’t want the flashy, trendy, fussy new spots that close after 4 months and bribe people to leave good reviews… come here. You won’t find influencers and ostentatious decor her
Broad variety of foods, snacks, and ingredients not found at your typical supermarket. The gyro was very good with large pieces of meat, tzatziki, onions, tomato, and lettuce. Very tasty, will come back!
Venerable grocery and deli. You can live out of this store and be healthy, and they have foods totally unavailable at whole foods or central market.. great deli, pita, and desserts. Focus on central Asian, eastern European, and middle eastern Mediterranean. very good prices.
Glad we ran into this place and to see we still have places like this. We had their falafel and gyro. Both amazing quality and overall great service. 100% recommend this place!
Long overdue review here. Been going to Phoenicia for years. The have the best Gyro and Chicken Shawarma in town. Everyone is very nice and helpful. They have a grocery store, bakery, olive bar, feta cheese and prepared items in the fridge as well- tabouli is one of my staples- fresh and delici
My wife and I relocated from North Jersey, known for its fantastic Mediterranean cuisine, to Austin. I was concerned about finding a Arab bakery we'd love until we discovered Phoenicia Bakery. Their selection of yogurts, bread, olive oils, pickled vegetables, olives, sweets, and the must-try Mennes
Great selection, nice feeling, and friendly owners. This is a fantastic place to pick up shwarma sandwiches or falafel with tahini, and also a great place to go shopping for Eid, or to find other international staples. You can get everything, including some of the tastiest sheep's milk feta I've h
Nice family run business, small but packed with goodies. Sandwiches are tasty, will be back for more in the future. Parking is available outside along with a few tables and chairs if you want to eat next to south Lamar. This place has obviously been around for a while, possibly a good sign that it's
Always a pleasure to shop there. Stocked up on my favorites The ladies are so friendly & accommodating. Asked about a fruit called quenepas and they even took the time to look it up & see if they can locate it. Now that's service. Love the place, it never disappoints.
Always a go-to for us when we are wanting some good Mediterranean food. I have the veggie plate and everything was delicious and portion size was good.
