Fabulous meals here. The brisket is melt-in-your-mouth delicious. All the sides are super good. The creamed corn is sweet and good. You can ask for the wings to have no sauce or on the side. The sauce is relatively spicy. You'd never believe it but the catfish is wonderful!

Very laid back, good seating and parking if you have a family. Got the green mesquite potato smothered in BBQ, wife got the two meats BBQ, both stuffed and it was plenty. If your from Louisiana they’ve got Jambalaya also which is hard to find around here.

We absolutely love this place. We love all three locations but this is probably our favorite location out of all of them.
My husband ordered the Philly cheese steak double meat which he absolutely loved. The focus was all about the meat which was excellent quality and double means extra extra. The bread with fresh the cheese was melty and yummy and he thoroughly enjoyed it.
My absolute favorite... from this particular location of specially, is going to be the smoked Wings which I get the sauce on the side. This is the best place I have found in all of Austin for some really good chicken wings. They smoke them and then I think they might fry them afterwards to give it that nice crisp to it but they don't put breading on it which I love because I do not like breading on my chicken wings. They also seem to be bigger and plumper at this location as well. The buffalo wing sauce is really really good and does not taste like bottle sauce at all like a lot of places do and the blue cheese is fresh and really good.
We also enjoyed a couple drinks. I got the Chardonnay wine and my husband got the draft Fireman's 4 which was served cold and0 promptly.
The service was outstanding. Our waitress, Balinda, was very nice and sweet as well as prompt and attentive without being hovering.
We really enjoyed our visit here. Thank you for the awesome food and terrific customer service.

Update: This time the food was ok, chicken a little dry but thats chicken for you. The rest was good. They only thing that bothered us this time was the gnats, i mean not just one but a few. We sat in the booth around the bar corner. I caught one and thought ok thats fine places have flys and what not but nope a few more buzzing around so we ate quick cause it was annoying.
OLD Review:This was delicious!!! Waitress was nice and helpful since it was our first time there. The ribs were moist and not burnt, coleslaw was average, and the green beans were okay seemed a little under cooked but still good. The cornbread was spot on and peach cobbler was soft but no crunchy crust, fried pickles seemed fresh with a thin crisp batter, not that frozen ready kind. The chicken fried steak was good and crisp but the mac an' cheese is good, not too cheesy. Few good choices of tap beer. Went at 630-7 pm on a Friday and not busy at all. Would go back!

My wife and I are on the keto diet so this place worked out well.
The turkey was very good, and it’s hard to do BBQ turkey well.
The brisket was, to me, just average.
The green beans with bacon and corn sides were also very good.
The waitress was very nice and we never went without and our glasses never went empty.
I will be coming back here for sure.

Pretty good grub! No complaints. The sweet cornbread brought back memories of my grandmothers. The bbq sauce was pretty good, not too sweet. Next time will try the spicy. And that chocolate fudge pie is awesome! Nice, friendly folks, got my order to go but was pretty nice atmosphere.

The Green Mesquite has a diverse menu for a BBQ Restaurant.
For example, I got the Frito Pie It's well made, with a good balance of chips to chilli to cheese ratio.
The ribs here are also some of the most tender, fall off the bone ribs in the area.
Beers on tap. Not a large selection, but there's some variety.

I ordered the 2 meat BBQ plate. My meat choices were the pulled pork and chicken. For my two sides I ordered mashed potatoes and mac and cheese. The gravy for the mashed potatoes was delicious. The pulled pork was my favorite. There was a great layer of smoke in the pork, and when dipped into the tangy BBQ sauce it was amazing. You also get served white bread, which is perfect for adding the pulled pork, BBQ sauce and pickles to make a small sandwich. I can definitely see why this restaurant was chosen to be on Diners Drive-ins and Dives. This is definitely some good eats, and great BBQ!

Fairly good bbq, I had the pork rib plate with sides of pinto beans, green beans, and cornbread($8.99 Friday special). Everything was well prepared. The dishes didn't have that backyard grill flavor, but they were seasoned nicely. The atmosphere was like your typical bbq chain restaurant, but with excellent service. Satisfying meal, very likely to return.

Great catfish, local drafts & wings. Went recently with my family. Very pleased. We all had catfish which was excellent. Loved the Live Oak Hefeweizen on draft. I didn't have the wings but saw they won a 2012 Austin wing contest so I will be back for those. Service was friendly and very good.

The place is not fancy and its clean. Service friendly. Ordered the Barbeque for Four or More. Liked the pototao salad and the beans. Chicken and beef were acceptably good, well cooked, put on your own sauce. The meal overall was good and probably not good enough to bring me back.

Awesome hot wings! They smoke them before they cook them making them super tasty! Also a very moist and super tender Brisket that is worth coming back for!

Went off of a recommendation for this place, I'm glad I did. Service was excellent. Food came out quick an hot. We tried the turkey, ham, brisket and sausage, they were all equally awesome, great sauce to smother it all in too.

Good, but not the best. The first thing I noticed were the local beers on tap, which was a huge plus for me. Wait staff was friendly. Had a three meat plate with brisket, ribs, and chicken. Mac' n' Cheese and potato salad were the sides. The meats were nice and moist with a hint of smoke flavor, but not much else. I feel they depend too much on their sauces (normal or spicy), which I liked a lot. All three meats were cooked perfectly, but I wanted more flavor without the sauce. The Mac' n' Cheese was great, as was the mustard-based potato salad.

Everyone is soo nice! Food is excellent! I highly recommend it!! The sausage is delicious along with the briscuit and even the burgers!!! Prices are good and have a nice choice of beer and wine!

The whole lunch was wrong, manager never came to explain or apologize. Ran out of the dialy special at 12:45 in the afternoon with NO ONE but us in the place. Best thing was we got our meal free but no thanks to the manager...
