Wow, delicious food. Was at the art gallery and wanted some food. Walked in and ordered the BBQ & heirloom caprese. Fantastically delicious! Best BBQ sauce ever! Small misunderstanding with Togo vs dine in but not a big deal. Usually we look at reviews first. Glad I didn't this time.

Great place to get lunch if you're in the area. Has a lot of healthy items, but the price is a little high. If we didn't have a very cheap cafeteria in my building this is where I'd eat most of the time.

healthy menu choices and quick service. God for a quick bite with a lovely view of the capital.

Jae in the cafe is the most amazing embassador of your establishment!! He deserves a raise and a promotion.

Good food, reasonable prices. Plus near an art museum. What more can you ask for?

Reasonably priced food options.

La cafetería del museo ofrece un poco más de lo que se espera de un lugar de paso. Un buen surtido de bebidas, bocadillos con ingredientes mimados y, lo más interesante, una ensalada especial de la casa que cambia cada día.

Wide variety of exhibits to appeal to everyone’s interest. Very reasonable cost, free for UT Students/staff, and they’ve provide a reduced Brazos parking garage rate if planning on staying more than 1 hour. Great afternoon activity while visiting the UT campus or spending the day in Austin.

There was interesting art all throughout. From the more modern art to the 15th-17th century European art. Also, there was a little bit of Ancient Greece in there too! It really has something for everyone and you don’t have to be an art geek to enjoy it.

When you first enter the atrium you're surrounded by Teresita Fernandez's Stacked Waters. Standing amongst the beautiful swirly, shades of blue tile feels like you're at the bottom of a swimming pool. From European to Contemporary art, the Blanton has something for everyone. Also students and teachers get in for free!

My husband and I went to the Blanton Museum on November 16 the third Thursday of the month. We really enjoyed ourselves. We parked in the Brazos Garage with no problem . We like to go when there is a band playing and this was a special night because the band was exceptional and also the choir that sang while the band played. The museum is very informative and educational for students and visitors. I highly recommend you go and get benefits of hearing the band play and get there early enough to do a little sight seeing.

I think the Blanton is a fine resource that more students at UT should take advantage of for an interdisciplinary experience of art, architecture, music, and more on cultures. I especially enjoyed Aruna Kharod's performances in the Epic Tales from India exhibit, an example of one of the live pieces of art the museum has to offer. A lovely volunteer tour guide one Friday explained to us the fine details and history of the paintings and sculptures that often overlooked, one of my favorite experiences here. I still have to explore more, but I do appreciate the broadening experience that Blanton brings to our minds. I do wish there were more outreach programs to show how non-art/ humanities UT students can utilize the Blanton in creative ways, if there was anything that could be improved.

We went on Thursday, and was very pleased to find out it is free admission on Thursday. I have lived in Austin a long time, and this was my first time there. Enjoyable time. Loved looking at all the different art.

Went with my wife, our daughter. son in law & two grandsons. The 3 year old needed reminding not to touch... several times. The staff only went a little crazy when he got too close. They both, he and the 7 year old, got a great introduction to what art is and it's many executions. They especially liked the video art. I enjoyed the art, particularly the western and Latin American. But mostly I liked watching them discover. Thanks U.T. for providing the museum and the Blanton staff for putting up with us!

My wife and I thoroughly enjoyed our experience at The Blanton Museum of Art. We went to view Nina Katchadourian's "Curiouser" exhibit. We found it to be brilliant, highlighting a creative spirit that is unsurpassed. I'm so glad we allowed ample time to explore her works and view other artists as well. It was a day well spent! What I like about the Blanton is each gallery section has, at the displayed work, a well written text board that explains why the works in that room were brought together. Individual works of art have labels that tell about their art historical/social context. I learned about each artist, their methods and materials. I found the day went by so fast! It was a truly engaging experience.

I joined a guided tour and it shocked me how little the tour guide and the people (young and old) in the group, knew about Andy Warhol? He wasn't that great of an artist and he was a plain man; but that's the point - how the heck did he get so famous? Because you can't deny he was a genius at marketing himself as a brand. He also tried some very radically different forms of art, and whether he succeeded - at least he tried! He dared to be different & indeed he was. He loved the undeniable commonality that all humans share and he found that expressed in such things as a soup can because the most common man in a factory Michigan eats soup and so does Elizabeth Taylor living in Beverly Hills. No denying that!

I had an absolutely enchanting experience at The Blanton. My best friend and I took in the Warhol exhibit recently and I was impressed with the exhibit and the staff's knowledge about each work of art. I hope to frequent the museum much more often in the future. It's a beautiful and enlightening refuge from the ordinary.

I was pleasantly surprised by the size of the Blanton! Student pricing was great and if you park in the Brazos parking garage (right next to it) and bring your printed parking ticket, it is $4 flat-rate parking for the rest of the day and you can pay for it when you pay for the museum ticket. There is an excellent range of art from Latin American art to contemporary to Greek. I really enjoyed my visit!

I needed more time but what I did see was wonderful. I was stunned by The City. I’m from the Deep South and I could see through the hoods. I know they are regular people that are all around us. As a veteran l felt respected by the staff.

This is a local personal favorite. The permanent collection is worthwhile but seeing the new displays are always a treat! The graduate student explaining the story in the music then dancing was an unexpected and beautiful treat. My teens were transfixed!

After 20 years in Austin I just discovered the Blanton Museum last night and was blown away. I had misjudged the museums as boring art for old, rich white people. The patronage was eclectic and admission is free every Thursday. Now, I'm excited to explore this world of museum art.

The Blanton Block Party was a brilliant event. Great food, music and art. I’ll definitely be back. Nice relaxing experience.

It was a fantastic experience. The museum has free admission on Thursday's. We had a guide tour with Loraine for an hour. What treasure of information and was great at getting the group to interact. Our group was about 8 people. Love the diversity of the art collections. We were just spending two days in Austin head to west coast. Hope to make it back some day.
