Guys. This place is NY/LA good. The freshest, most delicious sushi joint in Austin that I’ve found. Sara is our favorite waitress because she always remembers my weird, pretentious modifications. I’m truly here weekly, it’s the best! Try the yum yum roll with Cali-Philly inside… trust me, it’s life changing! No joke, this place is awesome and so consistent in vibes, freshness, and deliciousness too.

I had an extraordinary Japanese feast here with my grandson and was able to introduce him to many new dishes. While everything we ate was definitely delicious, I especially enjoyed the seaweed salad, and the generous portions of perfectly prepared Katsu. The people that work there are very humble, polite, and kindly. All in all it was a perfect experience.

I popped in for a late lunch the atmosphere was perfect, the waiter and chefs were very professional and wonderful. The food quality was outstanding having eaten sushi from all over the word this place is one of my number ones. Highly recommend

This place got very good vegetarian sushi options. Loved the freshness and flavors are the best.
We ordered specialty sushi Mopac and l-35 rolls.And pick two sushi options Hibachi rolls and asparagus one.
My person favorites are l-35 and Asparagus. Pro tip : Ask for spicy mayo sauce which will add more flavor to your rolls.

By far the best sashimi I've had recently in Austin. The fish was really fresh as was the Caviar and the Uni. The Agadashi tofu was crispy. The Miso soup was lite and at the same time flavorful. The service was friendly and the food came out fast. The food prep area was exceptionally clean. I will definitely return soon.
Honestly I cannot say enough good things about this restaurant. We try other sushi restaurants and always compare them to this one. It can't be beat. We keep coming back almost every week...

It was a random dinner before the movie. But the tonkatsu yakisoba tasted so good! And the server was really hospitality! I will be back next time. Then give more specific details about the food. 😆

Me and 2 other friends split the Haru platter with a variety of sashimi and it was spectacular. Although it $95 it was a great deal considering the 3 of us were full afteerward. The waiter was very attentive and nice, the food also came with little to no wait time. I will for sure return again

Good variety on the happy hour menu. The brussel sprouts had good flavor. The ahi tower was delicious with the seaweed. The sweet wasabi had a good balance with the rest of the ingredients of the dish. The karaage was dry but the dipping sauce was good. The spicy scallop has a kick to it.

The new owner Jay has really made the place better with quality of life improvement to the menu, new menu items and of food quality overall. A year ago takoyaki wasn't on the menu but would still be served if asked and came out overcooked. Today it came out perfectly.
Even from when I came a couple weeks ago it's much better today. Big addition are two TVs displaying Today's Specials items. The sushi tacos were a nice addition! More so hot menu items are just the right temperature so no more burnt mouths.

My favorite sushi place. The service and atmosphere are always very pleasant here. The Hamachi-don is my favorite meal right now, it’s the perfect little box of sushi. The yellowtail is delicious, the rice it’s sitting on is delicious, and the pickles they include are out of this world.

This place is legitimately the best in Austin, and there's a lot of competition. The fish here is simply exquisite; the preparations are original, creative and AFFORDABLE. Many of the dishes we've sampled here rival similar dishes we enjoyed in Japan. It's the real deal, with no pretense. Service is quick and genuine every time, especially from Carrie.
Just try the appetizer wooden boxes with raw octopus, pickled vegetables and ikura, plus the agedashi tofu and a sashimi sampler and you will see exactly what I'm talking about. Tremendous quality.

The rolls were very good but I would recommend one of the bowls for a great variety of sashimi. We had the Kaizen Don (with Hokkaido Uni), it was amazing and definitely enough for two. The Otoro, Scallops and Amaebi were the highlights. I would recommend this place for top level sushi!
Review #2- Came back again and sat at the sushi bar. This was a lot of fun because you get to watch the chefs prepare everything. I had the sashimi sampler, scallop Crudo, dragon roll and various nigiri. I have to say that this is my favorite place for Sushi in Austin. My server, the owner and the chef checked on me to see how the food was and stopped for a chat. This place is 12/10!

First time here and everything was fantastic! Very fresh and delicious fish. They are very accommodating to all types of diet. Atmosphere is very comfortable and they obviously care alot about the service and experience. Will be back.
