Super good! LOVE THEIR BREAD and oil ! Good customer service. The lady was really friendly. The pastas were super good too! They were good in flavor !!! I would come again next time I’m in Austin. The backyard seating is quite nice as well. It was good view .

This restaurant consistently serves tasty, great quality Italian dishes. Personally not a fan of ordering online via smartphone, but the service otherwise is good. There is an excellent variety of seating options: indoor, outdoor, bar, and island- making this an excellent place for dates, gathering with friends & family, or just hanging out to watch your favorite sports.

I’ve always enjoyed the huge chicken Parmesan at Nick’s as the breading is crunchy and delicious. As others have reviewed they have changed their ordering process. We were greeted by a hostess who brought us bread and a carafe of water. There is a QR code at your table to order and pay for your food and drinks. I found it effective. Nik’s is closed on Monday and Tuesday and I hope their changes allow them to stay open.

The chicken and egg plant parm are excellent.

Wow. Just wow! Came with a group and everyone was raving on what we got. From the service to food to the atmosphere. It was superb to say the least. Best clam chowder I’ve ever had! Filet was cooked to perfection. We shared almost all the desserts in the menu and loved them all. Will definitely be back!

Nik's Italian Kitchen and Bar has quickly become my go-to neighborhood spot for delicious, authentic Italian cuisine. The cozy, welcoming atmosphere makes you feel like you're dining at a small Italian trattoria. The friendly and attentive staff enhance the dining experience and are happy to make recommendations from the menu of classic Italian favorites. I've tried several of their homemade pastas and was thoroughly impressed by the fresh, handmade noodles and flawlessly executed sauces. Between the warm service, scrumptious food, and neighborhood vibe, Nik's has become a favorite of mine. I enthusiastically give it 5 out of 5 stars for being exactly what I want out of a local Italian restaurant. Molto bene!

I had a great experience today at Nik's. The host was so nice and welcoming...he really made us feel like he was happy for us to be there. The food was very good and overall a great atmosphere. First time but we will definetly be going back

We had the Chicken Parmesan Jalapeño Line Sauce extremely tasty and a great portion. Vodka Penne with sautéed chicken Chicken Parmesan with Marinara Mozzarella. Everything tasted amazing and the service was outstanding.

Recommended by Captain Austin (really his name). My friends were trying to proposition Kelly the Bartender after the 1st Lemon Drop (one doesn't even really drink), so maybe you should get that. Whatever I had for dinner had 0 leftovers, only one person had carryout, but she had more than 1 Lemon Drop. The Keylime cheesecake, yep. You might wanna move in after ALL of that and the Vodka sauce (I heard). There were 7 of us 5 different dishes and 2 variations of the repeats, only complaint was the self ordering.

Update May 2023. They've switched to model where you scan code with your phone, then input your entire order, and can also pay that way. The servers do take care of the table, but refills can come a touch slow. The meals, otoh, came out fast, hot, and delicious 😋 soo good. The number one reason I keep coming back. ❤️ me some Jalapeno Lime. ___ I really enjoy Nik's. Really good food. I'll say this, while the service is good, they are almost just a touch too, ah how shall I say this, too aggressive. Maybe allow those dinning to enjoy themselves, relax a bit, and have a conversation. Also, it would be nice to finish the salads before the main course comes out.

I have been here a few times. Every time I have been there the food and drinks have been great. It is a great neighborhood bar and restaurant. And the company I have kept there has always been great. This day I had the jalapeno lime chicken dish and the Countryside Italian salad. Both were incredible. I will continue to go there.

Neat, fast an "choose your own vibe" restaurant. Good for a romantic date, to bring the kids or watch the game with a glass of wine. They were short staffed but the service was great!

We have returned here several times. The food is excellent with large portions. We've never had bad service and the Italian Margarita is great. Looking forward to the next occasion there.

Absolutely recommend it here the food and drinks are amazing. I had the Jalapeño Lime Chicken it’s taste was like a firework of flavors exploding in my mouth I would drive back just for this dish. As for the Cherry Limeade Martini I had it was perfect after a long day of hiking and waitress was helpful by answering any questions I had.

Enjoyed a family Christmas party at Niks with some of my favorite people. I only snapped a picture of the Wedge which was delightful.. I had pasta with veggies and red sauce. The server was quick to accommodate my craving. Love the owners and their family. A return visit is in my future for sure!

Great place for some food. Everything that was ordered was more than delicious. Jalapeno Lime Chicken, 5 layer lasagna, Vodka parmesan, and Prime Rib Sandwich. I believe the guy was new to the staff but was still really friendly. He put a bit too much of red wine vinegar in the olive oil dip for the bread. The place is small so expect some excitement when a game is on. Overall very great italian cuisine.

I've been here once and it was extremely delicious! The bread with olive oil while waiting for your main course is yummy too. The staff is friendly and attentive as well.

So my wife and son and I were in on Saturday evening for a dinner. Hostess was good. Very nice and welcoming! Now on the other hand service has a lot to be desired for sure!! It took just about 10 minutes for us to be greeted which is horrible! The waiter James was definitely a HOT MESS if you know what I mean! He was totally unorganized. Asked questions about the food and he was not sure about his menu! After finally ordering we got some bread which was nice. He brought our salad out but never came back to give us fresh parmigiana cheese which we asked for! Waited forever for refills as well! Dinner was brought out by the manager on duty I believe. He made sure we had what we wanted or needed. Finished dinner without anyone asking if the food was good or not!! That's horrible for sure! So all in food was good but maybe a little over priced for the portions! Really need some better beer selections as well! I will probably return but most likely sit at the bar to see if I get better service!! Need to hire more people and have better training for your people!!

Best close by choice. Very good burgers - a crispy patty done butter-burger style on a toasted Hawaiian style bun. <br/><br/>Calamari is also very good.<br/><br/>The chicken-parmesan is enormous and tasty. Other pasta dishes, like the Alfredo, are acceptable but a bit generic.<br/><br/>Service has been good although the last time we were in they were not serving bread and oil - not sure if it's a change or a Wednesday thing.<br/><br/>House wines are better than usual, Beer selection needs an IPA. Cocktails are good but not phenomenal.<br/><br/>All and all it's turning into our go to spot for a close by place that everyone likes.

A Great Place to Eat!. My husband & I live closeby & eat out all the time & FINALLY stopped by Nik's today. Wow! We feel silly for not going sooner! An Itallian place, yes, but with the Tex-Mex regional vibe. The frozen margaritas, for example, were amazing & I tried the Vodka Penne Pasta - wow it was delicious! And so reasonably priced I was amazed. The staff was friendly & efficient & there seemed to be a group of regulars at the bar watching the football game together. <br/><br/>We will be going back! 5 stars for sure.

Great Neighborhood Find - Excellent Fresh Food. We have dined here many times and I really can't figure out the lower ratings. <br/><br/>The food at this place is consistently very good with some real outstanding dishes. The lasagna is top notch and plentiful; the bread for dipping is always fresh and warm; and the flat-breads are crisp and flavorful. They also have a top notch gluten free pasta which can be used in most of the pasta dishes which provides a great opportunity to eat pasta for those who need that option.<br/><br/>From a service perspective, I also have no complaints. Our servers have been knowledgeable, quick to serve, and more than accommodating to let us do tasters on the wine. On every occasion that we have dined here, the GM "Keith" has been on the floor and attentive that his staff are delivering the proper experience for the customers.<br/><br/>One bonus shout out from today: Our server "Luke" was outstanding. Great service and really good energy about him.<br/><br/>We frequent the restaurant in "off peak" periods and the food is always very, very, good.<br/><br/>I would highly recommend this as your weekly night out in the neighborhood to experience some fresh Italian fare.

Fantastic overall experience!. I've been to Nik's several times and I must say I totally love the place. It has a neighborhood feel and style to it. The hostesses are by the far the cutest in town and they always open the door for you and greet you with a smile! The waiters and waitresses are very professional and extremely friendly - they go out of their way to ensure accuracy of your order and ease of understanding of their options. Not to mention the girls that wait on you are pretty cute and young - who doesn't like that ??!! <br/><br/>The food is delicious - try the Chicken Rigatoni dish or one of their flat breads - they seem to have specials that alternate everyday so you can always get a good deal. I hear they have even started serving game time food such as ribs, nachos, burgers, cheese fries - you name it! What's better than having those kind of options for whatever you are in the mood far. <br/><br/>And speaking of the bar, there seems to be a loyal fan club there - I would certainly say there are a few regulars that I have seen each time I have went there and that definitely gives it a "Cheers!" like atmosphere. One big guy there is particularly amusing and if you stick around long enough he will buy you champagne! The bartenders are very knowledge and very good - they are stretched a bit thin at times due to the volume of traffic in the bar - but they bust their butts to get you great drinks, food and service. Ask for that British-sounding young fellow - he has a very welcoming and warm disposition. <br/><br/>Lastly - I've seen the owners in their a few times - they pay very close attention to food quality, operations, wait times, and overall service. They go out of their way to meet and greet you and I've seen them make a few noticeable changes to adjust to their Texas clientele. They seem to have expanded their patio and provided a very cool looking cover for the summer and heaters for the winter and the game is always on outside too! <br/><br/>All in all, I will be going back to Nik's and I hope that my review helps you also decide to give it a try.

Great New Italian Restaurant in Austin. Wonderfully fresh; delicious; the salmon was especially outstanding.
