Review Tyson's Tacos - Austin

Laura Degelau (Laura Degelau REALTOR)
Out of downtown and worth the drive! The tacos were so good, the burnt ends were great, but the brisket melted in your mouth. Huge cup of queso and bag of chips made for a great late night snack! Will go back anytime we are in Austin!

This place is definitely a Austin restaurant. The menu looks delicious and breakfast tacos were so yummy. They made the eggs on piont. It's a place to come back again for sure.

A friend and I spent a rainy afternoon here recently when we were in town from Alberta, Canada. We both had a brisket taco and I had a pork belly. I have a gluten allergy but they have corn tacos. The cans of ciders are $2.50 each and the rain refused to let up so we stayed and stayed and stayed. Met lots of nice locals! Would definitely go back next time I’m in town.

Had two veg tacos: The Rage and King George (without bacon) — they tasted pretty nice. Guess they could be turned vegan if you ask them to refrain from cheese.

Brisket tacos and egg with cheese tacos. Smaller portions, but good flavor. Quick service for late night.

The burnt ends taco is possibly the best thing i have ever eaten 🤯 the King George was no slouch too. Don’t miss it if you’re in town! Note, they don’t have indoor a/c seating and the outdoor area can get toasty, so if you plan to eat here get a nice iced drink to go with the tacos!

They're smoking meats out back which results in the tastiest and most moist taco meats you'll encounter in Austin. Reasonably priced tacos and cheap beers. This is my new favorite taco stop! Fast and friendly service.

Tyson Tacos! 💘 Went here for lunch time. They have a wide variety of tacos! From Tex Mex - to street taco classics - to seafood blends - to breakfast classics : Tyson has it all! I would say the lunch / dinner tacos are just okay. The breakfast tacos were very good . All around , I probably wouldn’t go back for tacos outside of the breakfast tacos! Cheers!

Fun place with delicious ingredients and large variety in shaded patio seating. I enjoyed the Scooby and Senior Ranger.

This is a gritty little GEM. The tacos are AMAZING. I highly recommend the crispy pork belly. I also like the crispy duck and tasty basterd! So yummy!! The atmosphere is cool and there is nice space to sit in the sun and enjoy your food. I also recommend getting the plate for 15 so you get your three tacos rice and beans. Staff is friendly and fast

Great place to go to if you’re hungry for a late night taco! Time doesn’t feel real on the patio, the disco ball and the lights make it feel magical

Visiting for work and so glad I found this spot. Chips and queso were fantastic. Got the three taco plate with Diablo shrimp, burnt ends, and Al pastor. All were well above average and prices are all reasonable to beyond reasonable in the current market. Had a severely underwhelming and expensive lunch experience elsewhere (downtown) today and this redeemed the day. Great vibe as well. Will definitely come back when I’m back in Austin.

The meat was over cooked and DRY (like I was eating a beef jerky taco). The veggies add ons were old and the salsas were WEAK and watered down. Way over priced for such low quality tacos (then, again, I wouldn't even consider them under any fast food "value/dollar" menu). It was a complete disappointment

To be honest, it's a cool and funky "Old Austin Vibe" located in a dislocated North Austin location. However, the constant barrage of Hangry Birds on the patio, and the long wait line, are the only negatives. Great selection on the menu! Staff is very accommodating, and the food is fresh, flavorful and fun. I'll be back! :)

We ate at Tyson's for the first time last night. We live in a small town just West of Ft. Worth and make it down to Austin a few times during the year. This place was by far one of the best places we have eaten while in Austin. The Tasty Bastard was delicious! We will be back!

Falyn and I were out working the other night, when we decided we were hungry at around 3:00 AM. Now... granted, there are a select few fast food places open at that time of night, so I assumed our selection was limited, when LO & BEHOLD, I passed this taco joint right there on airport frwy! How could I have never known this place existed?? Unique, reasonably priced tacos? A mix & match option? open super duper late, coupled with walk up ordering and outdoor eclectic seating!?!? WHAT A JEWEL!! We ordered the crispy duck, the brisket, and two Grime Time tacos. The crispy duck was my fav. We also got a dirty horchata which is horchata with a shot of coffee?? Espresso?? Can’t recal, but SO YUMMY! And to top it off, super fast service. We enjoyed it SO much! We WILL be back.

99 cent taco Tuesday! How could you go wrong? But I still stop by there every other day for my breakfast taco fix.

This is a great taco spot. The burnt end brisket taco is one of the great tacos in Austin. They also have a salsa aguacate that is amazing.

Decent tacos and decent staff. 4.50 a taco was unexpected but, it is what it is I suppose. I would and most likely will eat here again. So, are the tacos good ? Yes. Is it a place if you're a cheap fuck?probably not.

I love the food and I've had great service and the green sauce is always on point. It's out of my way but it's worth the trip.

This place is awesome. Some of the best tacos I have had in a really long time!! Also great policies intact.

They somehow managed to fuck up an order consisting of two potato and egg tacos. Even after both me and the staff handled the wrong orders, they went ahead and served the food to the next customer anyway. When they finally managed to make two simple fucking tacos, they sucked. The tacos at Ben Taub Hospital are somehow better. This place is for hipster douche-nozzles. They actually have a taco called "the wild feminist." Go fuck yourself.

While I was visiting Austin I have the best experience in Tex-Max food in Tyson's tacos. Don't doubt and visit it!

Was my first time there. Had seen on Food Network cooking show.. it was all that it was talked about if you do a ukulele you get a free taco. But I tried three tacos so far and all three or just amazing so authentic

After seeing Cheap Eats we decided to venture out to this place. Turns out they don't do the Cheap Eats plate any longer (Migas Plate for $5.25). It should be noted the show originally aired over a year ago. However, after some discussion, we apparently weren't the only ones that had seen the show on Saturday so they honored the price. However, our order was lost and after waiting almost 45 minutes what we received were some less than great Miga tacos and some OK sides. Sunday was an over all awesome day so I won't knock these guys too badly, but I doubt that I'll be back. Too many great places in Austin to try out still.
