Has always been the place to go for Tex Mex food. Chips and salsa are always delivered first up. We got the enchiladas and the migas. Both were excellent. Even on a crowded day the service was good. Place was clean and nicely decorated. Parking can be an issue at this location. Overall great place for any meal of the day.

This a perfect spot if you want a good meal at a great price! We went here after a hike nearby and couldn’t have been happier. Getting chips and salsa right away is a big plus
ALL day breakfast is a huge Win in my book. Some places close breakfast so early it’s a crime. Especially for people that don’t eat breakfast when they first wake up, I usually wait a few hours before eating
Sausage Migas plate was perfectly cooked, and we also got the pancake platter. The pancakes had a vanilla flavor to them, very good
Parking was easy Sunday afternoon, but I can see it being challenging if too busy

Service, drinks and guacamole were good, but the chicken wasn't very lean.

An Austin original! We’ve been eating at Maudies’s for years…great for any kind of Tex-mex you might be craving. It’s a great place for frozen margaritas & breakfast / brunch tacos!! Sissy’s fajita tacos and Pete’s tantalizing tacos are my faves!

The food was excellent especially the deserts and the service was excellent my server was friendly, courtesy, and kind, and very beautiful bright shinning smile and a stunning personality. Amelia Risinger Provided the best service I had in a long time. Would definitely go back again and again. Thank you.

Sat at the bar the other day and Jose was incredible! He was very patient and helped me order (wasn’t sure what I wanted). He also makes the best margarita in Austin, hands down.

Maudie’s is a well known consistent eatery that is a staple of all the folks in the Tarrytown area of Austin. They not only have fantastic Tex-Mex standards such as tacos, migas, fajitas and enchiladas, but they also make a nice burger and fries. The inside decor is very nice with a wall of backlit tequila bottles and local art by Tim Sabo. Speaking of tequila, I have never been disappointed by a margarita here. The sidewalk patio dining is also a very pleasant atmosphere. My go-to dishes are the Sausage Migas or the Enchilada’s Josie style, I recommend going with one cheese and one ground beef. This is place is almost alway busy during the main dining hours so go at odd hours if you wish to avoid the crowd and any extended wait times. I could eat here several days a week and be perfectly happy. Good food and good people too. The wait staff and management are extremely friendly, check this place out next time you are in the central/west Austin area.
There was even one day last week I went to Maudie’s Cafe twice in one day!

Me and my wife love this classic Austin Tex-Mex joint. It definitely has an Austin feel and vibe. We love the breakfast menu and specifically the French toast breakfast. The pancakes are also nice and fluffy and especially good with bacon on the side.
Sometimes we like to get the migas and the sausage migas are definitely 😋😋😋

We visited while traveling. This restaurant is dog friendly. Area out on front patio. Hostess stayed is quickly and brought water out for our pup. Great selection of food for decent price. Server was very friendly. The spinach mushroom enchiladas were yummy.

The service and the atmosphere was awesome! Today was a BEAUTIFUL day to sit outside and have lunch. My wife had the chipotle chicken enchiladas and I had the chipotle chicken fajitas. Both dishes were delicious but a little too smoky on the chipotle sauce, but that was just our preference. We always enjoy Maudie's cafe and we will definitely be back again!

Always excellent!!! I try there at least once a week. I recommend the fajita nachos. They are amazing, as well as the beef enchiladas with charro beans and rice!

My dad and I wanted a late breakfast on Saturday after Thanksgiving. Everywhere was crowded. Maudies by Lake Austin Blvd got us right in. Dad had french toast with his eggs and bacon and I had blueberry pancakes with eggs and sausage. Really good. Dad said Maudies would be his go to back up breakfast spot when his usual place is too busy. Which it often is. I thought it was every bit as good.

We expected a wait when we arrived, but the host stand wasn't always occupied. Our server was easily distracted, but mostly attentive. We have a shellfish allergy in the fam and are vegetarian, which can be tough for a tex-mex place. Maudie's was an excellent option. Black and refried beans were vegetarian and there were lots of main dish options. Shellfish was limited and no cross contamination issues were had, but make sure to let your server know!

The food was so dang good!! The service was just as good, I didn't catch our servers name, but he was amazing!! He was on top of everything, I love that he wasn't overly helpful....iykyk.
The tres leches cake will never be the wrong option. It's delicious!!
