Review Quattro Gatti - Austin

By far, the best Italian food in Austin! Trust me when I say you can’t get any better, I’d almost say in Texas. We ordered the Meatballs, they literally just melted in your mouth, unreal. Shared the large Caesar salad, I’ve had salads from $20-$40 and this one beats it by a mile! I ordered the Chicken Parm, my better half ordered the Rigatoni Truffle Sausage… taste, was unprecedented… and dessert, of course we couldn’t leave without a taste of cheesecake! I can’t wait till we go back, next we’re trying Pizzas!

Great Italian restaurant! A definite must if you are in Austin. The food was so delicious and the staff friendly and attentive. I was lucky to squeeze in without a reservation but it gets busy so probably best to book ahead to avoid disappointment.

Fantastic! Everything fresh made including the pastas. We had the Burrata & Prosciutto appetizer special and it was outstanding. The Gnocchi just melt in your mouth and the spinach ravioli was delicious with the creamiest ricotta ever. We sealed it with the Gelato and it could not have been more perfect. I noticed some amazing drinks and the pizza oven for next time! The staff is incredible and owner/manager is always checking on customers. Locals and visitors mix was nice. Reservation recommended.

Absolutely fantastic Italian restaurant on Congress. Inside and outside areas, the did was fantastic, and so was the service. The Fettuccine Bolganese was delicious, spaghetti carbanara was fabulous, and drinks were nice and strong. So glad to come to the spot. We will definitely be back!!

It was just so delicious! Real authentic Italian cuisine. Probably the best European food I have had in the country. I’m French so I’m very picky!! It is simply very very good. Products are fresh, well cooked, the team is awesome. Made me miss Europe for a bit because how similar the food was from home. I wish I live in Austin so I could come eat here every week… Thank you for the delicious meal and hospitality!

Nice restaurant, service is great. Prices and portion size could be improved. Food was overall just okay, nothing noteworthy. Antipasti: Caprese - 3/5 Calamari Fritti - 4/5 Primi: Rigatoni Truffle Sausage - 4/5 Porcini Farfalle - 4/5 Dolci: Cannolo Siciliano - 4/5 Tortino al Cioccolato - 4/5 Some reviews said the portions were large but I was still hungry after everything we ate. Prices were a tad bit high for what you get. Might go back to try the pizzas.

A bit loud due to how busy it was and how close the tables are - but in a way that lends to the atmosphere. Just don't go here when busy if you are looking for a quiet conversation or a peaceful meal alone. Food was VERY good! Pizza was amazing - I don't know what it was called but I tried a slice of my friend's pizza and the Calabrian Chili's were amazing! I had a beet salad and it was really good and fresh and the beets we're perfectly done.

Food and staff were amazing. Our waitress took the time to explain each entre we were considering and made recommendations for wine based on our likes. Our only concern was that the atmosphere was very loud. So loud at times, it made it difficult to convers.

We have eaten Italian in NY, Chicago, San Francisco, and Austin. This is the real deal. First the food is exceptional - we had the Branzino - fresh that day, add the atmosphere - warm and welcoming, then the owner and his wife have the front and back of the house running like a fine tuned machine. They produce a fantastic dining experience. Highly recommend. We have eaten there many times and will be back for more!

Quattro Gatti’s provides an intimate atmosphere with high quality Italian cuisine. We ordered the calamari fritti for the table and for our entrees we ordered the carbonara and the rigatoni. Both entrees gave the illusion of being prepared by your nonna. Would highly recommend.

I would rate this restaurant 7/10 . Over all and for the most part food was good !! Arrived 30 min before the reservation time . Asked to hostess if there are tables available outside . I received a firm negative answer . “Could’ve been nicer “ Sat inside , server was nice and friendly. I ordered 2 appetizers and 2 mains . ( Capresee Salad , bruschetta , Montana pizza and tortellini) - Caprese Salada : was good but not authentic. Served with pomodorini inside of sliced pomodoro also has only 1 leaf of basil - Montana pizza : the dough was very good and cooked in a Wooden oven . Excessive amount of arugula and thick salt . Little salty to my taste ! I recommend this restaurant as the food overall was good and generous portions .

I wandered over to this tucked-away little place on a Thursday night after a sunny day on the lake. I was given my choice of tables and the hostess was a friendly and attentive server. After I explained my milk allergy, she pointed out the multiple vegan options on their menu. I ordered the rosemary focaccia bread and ended up with delectable leftovers. Definitely a good table sharing bread! For my entree, I got the Penne Arrabbiata with shrimp. It had the spicy aftertaste of a good salsa and I nearly finished it! They have an extensive wine and drinks menu, but it had been a party day already. Next time!

Show up last minute without reservation. My son and I were walking down the street and he wanted some pizza. Overall service was nice and the pizza was fresh and tasty.

Best Pizza I've had in the US so far. Makes up for the extremely noisy room and the poor selection of beers.

If you are looking for a quick in and out restaurants this place is not for you. This beautiful restaurant is meant to relax and enjoy the ambience and your company while waiting for your food to be freshly made. I could smell the amazing aromas coming out of the kitchen and just knew it was going to be good. I ventured out and tried Verdi Gnocchi for the first time and so glad I did. The food was amazingly delicious and can't wait to come back next time we are in Austin.

This was my first time eating here, awesome décor and ambiance. Gianfranco and his staff was extremely hospitable. I would recommend this place to anyone wanting excellent Italian food , good service and decent portions. The calamari was perfect, we also ordered bruschetta as an appetizer and, it was also perfect. I will definitely visit Quattro Gatti Ristorante again.

Gnocchi that melts in your mouth, the best pizza in the city, and the comforts of an Italian home all in the heart of downtown Austin. Gianfranco will treat you like family. (And feed you even better!) I cannot recommend this place highly enough.

Food was good. Sauce for all of the dishes was the star. The spicy marinara with the calamari was great. Gnocchi was a little over done so we're very "soggy". But the sauce was so good didn't care too much. Definitely recommend this place.

Had lunch there toast with family and friends after the Women's March...a terrific discovery, and my wife is Sicilian! We all loved this place and will go back as often as possible. I had the gnocchi and Bruschetta, which was outstanding. Everyone else was very impressed with the quality of the food's. Couldn't recommend higher!

I'm not sure what drew me in, the wonderful aroma of the male servers cologne or that of the fresh baked bread/pizza dough! Ordered a side salad and the sausage pizza, plus a shiner bock. Best lunch I've had in a while! A must go to while in Austin Texas!
