Cafe Java - Austin - Photo album

This is definitely a recommendation for the win! Service was good! There has always been a wait - the earlier the dine in the better and less of a wait. The entrees here are delicious and the coffee selection is wonderful.
Great eclectic iconic neighborhood restaurant! Breakfast is a must have!! Friendly staff, slight wait but so worth it.
This is the no frills breakfast you're looking for. Acts like a diner but has that old Austin vibe. Great espresso and coffee (they even gave us togo coffee after dining in) and everything on the menu is under $11. The ultimate migas were perfectly seasoned and are easily two meals. Bacon is exactly
This is the slice of life Texas you want if you are visiting. Atmosphere is great, staff are fun and super friendly, food is outstanding (far better than chains) and eggs were top notch. Had the 2x2x2 and loved it. Couldn't finish it because it was enough for 2, but great none the less. Highly reco
I've been going here for years, and it's been great every single time. I love their flexibility, like when you want a dish, you can change anything about it and it's completely fine. When I went last I got the 2x2x2, but instead of French toast or a pancake, I got just toast on rye. This was a great
There is not one bad thing I could say about this place! The customer service is PHENOMENAL and the food is amazing. The wait time is fast but I’d say it does get kinda congested from the building being so small and so many people.
Cafe Java is always a great experience. Great diner atmosphere and great service. For me it's the best breakfast in the area. Crispy corned beef hash, perfect hash browns and toast done right; on the griddle. On my most recent visit I hot the special. Meatloaf Monday. The meatloaf had good flavor an
The BEST place for brunch. Everything is fresh, and served with speed. Most of the times that I've been, they always have a wait to get in but usually it's not a long wait. Aren't all good places worth the wait, because this one sure is. AND it's not just the food but it's the COFFEE. Their coffee m
Excellent place for some brunch. Be prepared to wait, especially on weekends. We had a 30 minute wait but the food was worth it. Good portions with helpful staff and adorable prices. We all got the ultimate migas and loved it. Definitely will be going back.
As soon as you walk in you instantly feel cozy and welcomed. All the staff greet you and even remember your order if you come enough times. I have yet to have a terrible experience here after 40+ visits. Every meal tastes like a good ol southern home cooked breakfast. 11/10 recommend you stop by for
Very upbeat and busy. We had to wait for probably 30 minutes for a table but the atmosphere was very friendly while everyone waited. The server was very helpful and prompt. The daily specials were delicious though they did have a full menu. The coffee selection was too good. It was very hard to deci
This place is amazing!!! I almost hate to write this because the only reason we don't go is because we have to wait for a table! The food is very reasonably priced and so good!!! The Ultimate Migas are sensational and the speed of food getting out is crazy fast! What I REALLY love is the waitst
Staff is so friendly, the prices are so legit and the portions are hearty! They had the Hill Country Breaky on special when I was there with my guy Matt and we both took it down. Biscuits and gravy, hashies, sausage patties & soft scrambled eggs were amazing!
We’ve been coming here for years, it’s a great little diner. The California is our favorite omelette, but they frequently have great specials as well. They also used to have great pancakes - they might still but we don’t eat pancakes these days, too many carbs. Also they have good breakfast tacos
Wait staff so nice and breakfast was amazing. Biscuits and gravy special was so good. Homemade Biscuits that are buttery and crispy on the outside and so soft on the inside. Homemade hashbrowns are the best I've ever had. Everything we ordered was so good. Definite must have when visiting Austin.
It’s a super cute little shop! Food is good, atmosphere is really cozy :)
Good place to have breakfast, service it's good and the good quality on ingredients.
Excellent food and service. Had the 2 x 2 x 2 pancake platter with scrambled eggs and sausage. The standout was the multi grain pancakes. Sturdy and flavorful and they have peanut butter to add, which is my favorite pancake topping. They came out hot from the grill and were exactly what I want when
Very pleased with Cafe Java! Great coffee, authentic Cafe vibe, great food, good sized portions and easy on the wallet. This will probably be my new go to for breakfast! Only waited around 30 minutes for a table on a Saturday brunch rush. I got the biscuits and gravy and it was great. Only available
