Review Frank - Austin

This place was exactly what I needed to satisfy my craving and love for German sausage and Canadian poutine. The bratwurst platter was amazing. The waffle fries were tasty too. They also have a good selection of beer. Looking forward to returning here.

The food here is delicious. Parking can be a sore spot but this is downtown Austin so anything will be. The restaurant is spacious and has a nice vibe to it. Their coffee isn't the greatest. It was pretty expensive and didn't taste that great so a definite downside. Their main feature are their dogs though and they definitely stand out. Top notch taste and variety and you get a good amount of food for what you pay for.

This is a sit down place with a hostess and full bar. Some nights have comedy apparently. The food was tasty. The sausage dog was good along with the mac and cheese and reuben fries. I'd recommend it for a night of that sort of indulgence.

So I had lunch up the Road at Sholz Biergarten & came here (randomly) for a late evening bite. After glancing at the menu I realized that they shared several menu items as Sholz. Sholz was amazing that afternoon & Frank turned out to be just as nice in the evening!! Great selection of sausages and amazing Hot Dogs. I forgot to get the brand they used but was pleasantly surprised to bite into a nicely grilled, all beef hot dog. The cocktails were amazing as well. The Cherry Limeade was especially refreshing after a whole weekend of walking. Service was incredibly friendly while the decor was also warm, inviting & tastefully done.

Frank's is a great little gem in the downtown Austin area. With a great selection of hot dogs and sausages and a great beer selection. It's guaranteed to hit the spot. The view of downtown Austin is pretty nice too. The staff has always been friendly. I'm glad I've to witness how Frank's has grown since I first stepped through the doors in 2009. If you're in the mood for "Chicago" styled dogs and other great dog creations, make this a stop on your list!

Awesome food! Our server was super nice and fun, the food was delicious and well priced for downtown Austin, and the restaurant has a very nice atmosphere. We had Chicago dogs, Dr. Doppelganger soda, and chocolate covered bacon, it was all absolutely delicious!

I had a hot dog. It was lovely. Nikki had one. It was - it was phenomena-l Steve had one. It was - as notorious as it’s name, to be frank. Well worth a visit. Or not. See if we care. Also. The poo bacon πŸ₯“ is well tasty I reckon

The people here are incredibly friendly from the moment you walk in. I appreciated the recommendations from the guy who rang up my order. The notorious P.I.G. was good. The only regret was not adding pulled pork to it. The street corn is also delicious along with the queso fries. I recommend this place.

Solid spot. Pretty good dogs. The Chicago is definitely the best bang for your buck. Real good drink selection. Bartenders are a little too hipster for me. One of the best pretzels in town. Probably the only place in town that has Poutine and it's pretty good too! Ruben fries are crazy good. Always have fun specials.

I liked the chilli cheese dog, but not the Chicago dog. The caramelized onion wasn't good at all. Generally good place and nice staff, but too expensive for just hot dogs.

Delicious food!! Tried a couple of their dogs, both were great! Also got the queso waffle fries! Soooo good and soooo much food. Isn't super cheap though, 2 dogs and fries was $30

You've never had a hot dog quite like this until you go to Frank's. Friendly staff, great selection of alcohol to choose from Personal recommendation is the Notorious P.I.G and the Canadian Waffle Poutine

Great atmosphere, excellent liquor and beer selection. Yes, it is expensive but the food is delicious. This is a good spot to come hang grab a couple beers (or cocktails) and enjoy one of their signature hot dogs or sausages. Certainly worth experiencing at least once.

So far I've had nothing but great experiences at this place! The sausages are great and their brunch menu on Sunday is awesome! Check out this GIANT PANCAKE! Also the waiters and bartenders have been super friendly. Definitely going back for more.

Frank is great whether you're looking for a lunch spot or need some late night grub. The food is German inspired and sausages are the main event. They take the sausages to the next level too. No boring brats here. In addition to food they also have a great beer and whiskey selection as well as unbelievable milkshakes. And, if you're feeling spunky - they'll add some liquor to the shake for you. So good.

This is 1 of the most memorable restaurants I've been. The food is the best, service is excellent & there is so much character it this joint. Be sure to add this to your to-do list when in Austin πŸ‘Œ
