Hands down, best brisket ever! We got 2 lbs brisket, 1/2 lb pulled pork, sausages, and beans. And pie...everything was great, but the brisket was out of this world. Service was outstanding and friendly. We waited ~3 hours, but chairs were provided, people in line were friendly, and if you bring a book or stream something, the time flies. Highly recommended.

After reading mountains of reviews we decided to go on a Saturday. Arrived at 8:30am and grabbed some of their complimentary chairs and sat in line. They did have staff that came down the line to let us know that we could use the bathroom and purchase drinks/memorabilia while we waited.
Around 30 min before they opened they had someone go down the line to get an idea of what everyone was going to order. Since it was Saturday, we made sure to tell them we wanted beef ribs well as brisket and sausage. The gentleman who was taking notes said we may have gotten the last beef ribs for the day.
Once they opened (11a) it took another 1.5 hours before we actually had our food. The weather was awesome (Mid October) so we chose to sit outside.
The Brisket was freaking awesome! Worth the wait! The Beef ribs were just plain delicious.! Everything was so tender....you only need a knife for the sausages which were great as well.

Building located on corner, minimal parking, however there is street parking.
We were warned about a line, lucky for us it was not very long. Wait time was 30 minutes standing under the covered area.
Food cost is $$ (whatever that means to you). Brisket was the best. 5 đ
We had ribs, beans & and potatoes salad.
Taste was good, meat sold by the pound, no plate combos. There are 4 BBQ sauce options
Staff were amazingly kind, polite, and friendly.

Are you in the mood for tender, juicy, delicious, melts in your mouth, barbecue. Look no further! This location is very tasty! This spot opens at 11:00 am, but people will line up as early as 8:30 am. Typically, the first items to sell out are the pork ribs and the brisket, but all items on the menu are delicious! All items will sell out, and once they're done, they're done, at least until the next day. Wine, beer, and non-alcoholic beverages are offered. If you're in the Austin area and are craving deliciousness, definitely check this spot out!!!

This was one of the BEST day trips Iâve had yet. Customer service was everything, food was amazing, wait until you see these ribs!!! I wonât upload all the pics because it doesnât do them justice, but we arrived at 8:00am to a line that formed at 5:45am. There were plenty of chairs to use while you wait. Drinks and bathroom were offered while we waited. Freda took our preorder. Everyone was so nice. We ordered 6lbs of brisket, 1/2lb of pulled pork, 3lbs of ribs, potato salad, beans and coleslaw. Definitely worth the wait. Mr Franklin, hats off to you sir! And thank you for the tour!

Iâm lucky enough to be so close to Franklin Barbecue, I can smell the deliciousness every single day. These guys work theyâre tails off to create the most exquisite BBQ Texas has to offer. They literally have a night shift to keep the fires going all night, so the customer can have what I consider to be the best barbecue Iâve ever had. The thing I love the most about them⊠they didnât change, they didnât sell out, they knew they had incredible barbecue, and they just stuck with it. This is perfection

An Austin essential and I do agree with the hype. Being from the northeast I canât say Iâm a bbq connoisseur but I do appreciate the art. We queued up at 8:30am and were fed by 11:30. The wait really isnât bad because they have chairs and drinks for you. Once it opens and you start standing, that wait does feel a bit longer. We were able to snag some beef ribs and of course brisket, sausage, and pork ribs. All of it was really good but also itâs also a lot of meat for breakfast đ
Definitely a must try when in Austin!

This really is life changing bbq. We went midweek post lunch rush and were only two parties from the door when we arrived. They were sold out of turkey and sausage. The brisket is the moistest and most tender youâll ever have. The flavor will wreck you in a good way. The ribs were equally as good but I prefer brisket. As with most bbq places imho the side are mid at best. We got potato salad and slaw. Skip the sides and just spend that money on beef and beer. Iâm never going to wait around the building for it but it is a great experience.
The staff is also wonderful and seemed glad we were there.

Pro tips: Get in line before 10am, don't be hungover, the sandwiches have the best meat to cost value.
I ordered way too much and had to take away due to the looming hangover. Good bbq but it's all about personal preference and I like a wet rib vs a dry. Brisket lived up to the hype.

Let me tell y'all, the wait is worth it. Everything about my experience was amazing. Making friends in line, making friends with the staff, and the BBQ was some of the best I have ever had. Don't be skeptical, get your butt over here support this place!

What a fantastic experience. You have to get there early to make sure you get what you what before they sell out. Expect around a 4 hour wait. Waiting is part of the fun. We met some fun people and had a few beers listening to some classic country music. They only have the beef rib on weekends. It is worth going on a weekend because the brisket and beef rib are the best. Everything is super delicious and cooked to perfection. We tried a bit of the everything. Plenty to take home. We ate it over a few days and was still excellent. I really canât seeing myself eating any subpar bbq ever again.

Will you wonder if it's worth it while you're in the line, yes.
After the your first bite you will say yes it was well worth the time to get it.
I showed up a little before 11am on weekday. The wait was about an hour. I would have waited twice as long
Every last bit of rib meat will fall off the bone.

We came here close to 3PM on Sunday and were told theyâre sold out for the dayâ which explains why thereâs no one waiting in line⊠We were disappointed because it wonât open Monday and weâre flying out Monday night. We hung around the restaurant trying to get a cab for 10 min, then the lady went out and said they can serve us. So we ended up in the restaurant having wait only 10 min and got the most delicious brisket in the worldâŠ
It was tender, juicy, flavorful, and the sauce carries the right sweetness to complement the meats. Even the cole slaw is better than the ones I usually get. Maybe Iâm being generous in my review since I only waited 10 min vs. the usual 1.5 hour. But the staffâs one liner and warm atmosphere made everything beautiful.

Got there a bit after 1 pm(they opened until 3 pm), and the wait line was ~ one hour. They almost run out of everything except a few briskets and sausages. I would be very disappointed to miss my chance, but luckily briskets were still there when I got to check out.

Went in there a bit nervous about whether the food was really worth it and how the service would be and wow I was amazed at how good this place is! The brisket is tender and juicy, pork ribs are very good, just fall off the bone, turkey is very nice, the potato salad is delicious as well and the staff is sooo nice! What an awesome Texan bbq experience! We loved it.
