Nori Japan

There's always a line for this place, and it's because they have consistently good food! This is my "go to" place at the mall. My "go to" meal is the Chicken Teriyaki with Fried Rice and Vegetables Combo. I usually have enough to take home for an extra snack. I have never seen more than two employees here. While other restaurants here have sometimes up to 6 employees, this place operates on a shoestring. Today there was just one, the very nice hardworking gentleman who is always there, running between the grill, cash register and drink station. This business truly is a small family business. I highly recommend Nori Japan for yummy and consistent food at a great price. They do not have the largest menu -- it's either chicken, beef or shrimp -- but the flavor is delicious and the price is extremely fair.

The food is great and always hits the spot...if you can get it! The man/staff is NEVER there. I've gone 4 times and no one is there. As a matter of fact, its 11:29 am on a Monday, I'm sitting in front of the counter right now writing this review and guess what...NO Staff in sight. I've come at different times of the day and evening and you're lucky if you catch him actually working. He is NEVER here and I'm sick of waisting my time with this place.

I respect this family’s hustle and the food is always good at a great price. He is always so nice I’m pretty sure it’s a family business. I would see the daughter I presume, on the weekends and then it’s always just mom and pops which I very much respect. When I used to work at champs this was my spot for lunch. The food is good definitely must try. And I will always seeks them when I visit the fox valley mall. 😋

Very saddened to here this place is being scrutinized for not taking blacks, instead of the illnesses and vomiting that occur after you dine. I have eaten here maybe ten times and maybe three I have felt nausea after and didn't put two and two together. I don't eat there anymore because I had gotten sick one day right after eating. But to then hear that THEY are discriminating is almost laughable!

I was there the day he started to refuse service to people of color just because some women of color had ordered few combo orders and didn’t pay for them, unfortunately after that he started refusing service to every person of color. That’s unacceptable and disgusting, you can’t blame a whole race just for one’s actions. I hope that place gets shut down. Please do not support that business and take your money somewhere else.

Like many have said, it's great tasting teriyaki, if you get there when the owner is actually there. There have been multiple times now where I have gone to order food during their open hours, but there is no one there. I've waited for up to half an hour, and the owner is nowhere in site, very frustrating and disappointing.

Racist establishment! One of the male employees went viral in December 2021 for refusing to serve black people and actually said it on video and swore at a black woman who was filming this disgusting behavior.
