When we first went here, my friends and I were a little skeptical because we didn't know what to expect. Our regular late night coffee shop was closed so we decided to go here. This turned out to be one of the best decisions that we have ever made. I have been trying to think of something that this place should improve on, but I can't think of anything. All my friends and I love to hang out here, get some coffee and do some karaoke. Needless to say, this beats out our old late night coffee shop. Definitely give this place a try!
My wife and I went here for valentines because we love Japanese music and food. The staff is extremely kind and the rooms are beautiful and clean. They are a new business and definitely make a great impression. They deserve all the attention they can get. I recommend going with friends because a lot of the food comes in large portions and is better enjoyed when you can share the cost. Their Tonkatsu and Cream Taiyaki are tasty, but there's a lot on the menu I have yet to try^^
Muse was super fun! Staff was friendly when i called over the phone and when we entered the bar. MAKE A RESERVATION, especially on Fridays and Saturdays. The Karaoke remote pad was translated for easy navigation. However, my group did not need to use it as we connected my phone to the system Bluetooth for more freedom of music choice. The prices on their website are inaccurate as of writing this review. Small rooms are $35/hr, Med Rooms are $40/hr and Large rooms are $45/hr (I've been to cheaper places with the same amenities). I went with a group of 4. Not sure how many people fit in each room but the small one fit all 4 of us with room for additional person. I can't make a comment on the food as my group ate before. We also drank a LOT of soju. I can't remember the price but it was more than what you would pay at the liquor store ($6-9). I wanna say it may have been $9-12. ALSO, THEY DO NOT SPLIT TABS!!!! I recommend everyone in the group brings cash or one person will have to foot the bill and have their friends pay them back.
TLDR: Nice bar, but you may be able to find a cheaper one; Bluetooth capabilities; Unable to split tabs!!
Many private rooms to sing recent or classic hits. You can also order drinks and food in your room so you never have to leave if you don't want to. I'd call ahead if you want to check room availability. Definitely recommended if you want to sing karaoke in private or just have a fun time.
Absolutely so much fun! Never seen a place like this before. Definitely going back. If you have never been check it out. The food is to die for. The staff is really friendly and helpful. The drinks are absolutely delicious as well. Definitely a 10 out of 10.
Immense fun, kind and hospitable staff, and clean, cool surroundings.
My daughter found Muse on Yelp and insisted we visit. I felt very out of place when we walked in, but we were put at ease by a welcoming staff member. I wasn't completely sure kids were allowed, but yes, they are. We sat in the main room and just observed for a little while, eventually asking if we could try a private room--we both love to sing but are incredibly shy.
My daughter picked a pretty room with two white sofas and a ceiling-mounted rainbow electronic disco ball. Clean and a little fancy. Everything was in Korean, but the staff member showed us how to use the remote and pulled out a binder listing their American/English songs. There's also a translation reference for the remote on the back of that binder.
The karaoke system itself was really nice--great sound from wall/ceiling-mounted speakers, big TV, two mics. The remote allowed adjustment of volume, sound characteristics, tempo and pitch, etc. The English pop song selection was small compared to the Korean binders, but that's probably to be expected. Plenty of old standards, 30-50 songs each from artists like Michael Jackson and The Beatles, a smattering of top 40 from the past few years. Lots of Nirvana, no Tori Amos, one Fiona Apple (if that gives you an idea of the distribution.) There were plenty of songs we knew and could sing together...we'd planned on an hour in the room, but two hours were up before we knew it. The karaoke system seems to play random Korean videos, which was good anachronistic fun. Lyric display was well-synced and while I noticed the occasional spelling/word error, those just added to the experience.
Staff brought us refreshments in-room, and there was a concierge phone (although we didn't use it.) They were so kind without seeming disingenuous or over the top--really invested in making sure we had a great experience, and happy we had a blast. Private rooms are usually $25/hour but drop to $20 for happy hour.
All in all...cheaper than a movie if you go during happy hour, and two nervous Nellies thought this was so much fun--a minor breakout from our shells and routines. I imagine that a group of extroverts might love it even more. We'll definitely do this again and force/invite the rest of the family to come with. 🙃
The staff was very friendly, room was clean and comfy, don't selection was decent, and rates were very fair! Great place to celebrate a birthday!
Very friendly service, great drinks, and comfortable rooms. Surprisingly restrictive selection of songs, but they still had a decent amount.
Wow this karaoke bar is so fun! I love that there is not just rooms but a stage in the front too! Huge song selection list and great prices! I had lots of fun singing. Thank you much!
Very friendly staff, many private rooms with lots of comfortable seating (we had 11!) and fun lighting! The music system is very much in Korean, but doesn't take too long to master after a tutorial from the staff, who were always a prompt in-room phone call away.
They had a really good selection of songs, both new and old, even if we did stump it on some classics (no music from Mulan???). Had a ton of fun here and will definitely be back again!!
