3/6/22-The food has gotten better then what it was before covid first hit. At the same time your experience depends on what food you grab. The baked fish was actually still raw, not only were spots still the full raw color, but even the 'cooked' parts had not gotten flakey at all showing it was way under cooked.
They have returned to self service, but do provide gloves (very few people were using them though).
My main issue were all the unruly kids running around. It's like all the parents that eat here have no idea how to make their kids mind. They were running into disabled and elderly guests and they never said sorry. It was not just one table, but most of them with kids. Because of this I would say this restaurant is unsafe for elderly or disabled people. When we reported this issue to the restaurant they did make an announcement over the PA system, but it did not change any of the behavior and the restaurant would not talk to the parents directly. This is not the place for a nice meal if you're looking for one. I would recommend avoiding this place.
The video clip I uploaded shows some of the kids that were misbehaving. The boy was throwing his toy all around and even hitting people with it. The girl would run back and forth to the food area unsupervised and at one point even ran into an employee who didn't say anything.
Then as I talked to the manager as we left she didn't seem to care. When I asked her why she hadn't asked them to leave for disturbing people she didn't have an answer. This manager needs to grow a set so that people will not have horrible experiences at her restaurant. You'll get a Chuck E. Cheese experience here both from the guests and the staff.

Went to the Mississippi Avenue location of this restaurant in Aurora on a Thursday for a late lunch around 1:00. Pretty crowded but was able to get to most food islands without to much wait. Since food items were missing/not served and they were not replenished during our entire visit. Overall, not a bad deal for the price one pays, but your visit can be hit or miss, depending on the food they are serving that day. Service was attentive and friendly. Plenty of free parking in the adjacent parking lot. B

This place was ok. The chicken was raw and as I was halfway done with my salad I saw a black bug crawling around in it, who knows if I had already eaten one. I told the waitor about it, he acknowledged it but nothing ever came about it to make up for this disgusting moment.

The restaurant was really full. I was surprised since it was 3:30p on a Tuesday. I met friends there. We managed to find a table that wasn't in the thick of things. It was more quiet also.
The food was very tasty too. I had fish & veggies. The baked fish & cabbage was the best today!

Our first time back since covid. The food is still good and it was very clean. But they've remodeled and it's too bright to relax at all. The cost has gone up and my husband and I are seniors which only discounted our meal by about $1. At our age, $40+ for the meal and a drink, we just can't eat enough to justify it. Still probably a good deal for those with a heftier appetite but I doubt we'll be back; just not worth the price for 1 plate of food.

This place has really come up! This location was remodeled & I'll tell right now, the food was top notch. I forgot what restaurant I was in! Try the steak fresh off the grill. It will change and better the reputation of Golden Corral as "cafeteria style food". What a great meal and experience. I'll be back! Just fix the ice cream maker

I haven't been to a golden corral in years. Took my 2 little kids with me. Everything was great. Staff was so kind. Omar was our waiter and he never let our table get too dirty or plates left untouched. I will definitely be back to sit in his section 1x a week

Paid about $30 for 2 adults for a lunch buffet. While they do have a wide variety of foods to choose from, including a salad and dessert bar, the food quality has significantly decreased while prices have increased. It's a noisy family environment. Great experience for a family meal, but not the place if you're looking for a foodie experience or a quiet meal.

Always find great food , your choice., all you can eat at a reasonable price, plus a senior discount.
