Awesome place . Great staff and friendly atmosphere. Could not ask for better place to enjoy Sushi . Have never been disappointed with the food or restaurant.
Great food... and great service... luv this place.
Every time we have gone we have not been disappointed. The food is great, service prompt, and prices very reasonable. My wife, two young children, and me were able to eat for around $25.
Husband and I went for sushi, we had a great waitress. She made sure our tea cups were always full. We got a specialty roll, shrimp tempura and shashimi all were yummy. The hot tea was also good. Would go back again.
Very good! So excited to find good & not overly expensive sushi. They even have terrific specialty rolls. They will also give military discount if you ask & show ID.
One of my favorites. My favorite waitress is Sue. I ask for her by name. Very attentive and polite. Always gets a 15-20% tip.
#1 Good - They bring a simple broth soup right away. Not fancy, but it is a good before meal starter.
#2 Good - Salad comes quick. Unless you want your salad swimming in dressing, get it on the side. I like a mix of ranch and ginger dressing.
#3 Good - If you order something other than sushi, it comes pretty quick too. Sushi always takes longer as the preparation takes a lot of time, so that is why I only get sushi in the evening and not on my lunch break.
I tried most everything on the menu, but the Fillet is my favorite (get it medium rare - trust me). I sometimes mix it up as a combo with chicken or shrimp.
Not sure how they make their white sauce, but it is so much better than other restaurants that serve similar food.
They serve alcohol, but I rarely drink here as I normally eat during my lunch hour as it is close to where I work. I did eat dinner here a couple times with the family and I had the Asahi Dry beer; was very tasty and went well with the meal.
The sushi is good too, but I am rarely in the mood for it.
I must have eaten here about a dozen times. Never a bad meal. When I don't get Sue, the service isn't as good, but not so bad that it turns me off. Wife and kids like it too.
There's a party in my tummy!. What more can I say? The food was delicious, the sushi was fresh and the service was fantastic. I got to experience sushi that I have never seen anywhere else. Kyoto Japanese... often imitated, never duplicated!
I love sushi, passiontely! With that said I am in Augusta Ga and all I expected was golf and hot weather. Kyoto Japanese Cuisine is the diamond in the rough. If you enjoy sushi as much as I do, you'll understand that most sushi joints are typically the same, I won't ellaborate. If you are in the area, you MUST try "KJC". The sushi is fresh, delicious, and fun! The aptly named " seafood roll" is one of the best tasting rolls I've ever had! Sit at the sushi bar and you'll hear the cooks laughing and screaming out what I think are orders to pick up ( I don't speak Japanese). I have fun, I relax, I eat, and I leave happy every time. Disclaimer: I embibe mass quantities of sake when dining at KJC:) Love life, eat sushi, and laugh! Brion
Best place ever and it has the nicest people here. I came on Christmas Eve and they were closing at 9:30p.m. and still allowed me to feed my family even though it was late. Thank you, Kyotos!
Excellent service and food. Seared flavor within every bite.
Most fresh sushi ever! The people that work there are the sweetest! I was used to them being super short-staffed, the 3 people there worked so hard to serve everyone. Looks like they’ve been trying to hire more people. Great and quick service with to-go orders!
Food was fresh and made to order and served in a timely manner.
Kyoto is not bad. I got some soup and a salad to start with. Soup had one, lone mushroom floating in it.
My appetizer was calamari. It kind of had a tempura batter. Not bad, but some of the batter made the pieces stick together.
I got a beef and shrimp entree that was supposed to be a hibachi. Not quite a hibachi. I asked for my beef medium rare, and it was a little bit past medium. The shrimp a little bit overdone too. The rice was good.
Definitely worth a try.
Got the sashimi special and it was phenomenal. Fish and salad was very fresh. This was my first time here and I can't wait to come back. The staff was amazing and the restaurant had a great atmosphere, beautiful glass designs and lights. Hidden gem in a plaza 👍
