As I sit here eating my scrumptious leftovers, I found it only fitting to leave a review of this wonderful establishment. Hubby and I have been meaning to try this place for over a year and for whatever reason passed it over. BOY! I didn't know what I was missing. For our starter we had the Yakimondu. It is a fried dumpling that is stuffed with meat and simply DELICIOUS! Be sure to use the dipping sauce as all their sauces are homemade. I had the BBQ Beef Combo (forgot the actual name) that had Teriyaki beef, short ribs, bbq chicken that came with 3 sides (cucumber kim chi, rice, roll). Hubby had the Katzu chicken and katzu shrimp w/3 sides (macaroni salad, potato salad and rice). Of course we ate off each others plates and had a fabulous smorgasborde! Chicken was juicy and shrimp was a good size! The meats were flavorful and tender and we had more then enough food for left overs the next day! I forget our waitress's name, but she is the mother of the owner . We couldnt have asked for a more gracious server. She was friendly and knowledegable of all the menu item and even suggested some of the more popular items since it was our first time. I would definitely recommend this place to others and will certainly be back again!!
This place was heaven in my mouth!!! You must stop by and eat everything! Lol the lumpia was a too spicy to my 5 yr old, but it was still good! Portion sizes were big (to the american standards :), taste was flavorful and scrumptious!
It is now my familes new favorite restaurant in the Augusta, Martinez, Evans area! Its family owned and the owners are amazing!
I have been several times and I can't wait to go again! Most delicious! The food is excellent and the service is great. Make me feel like family. I highly recommend you try this place. Favorites are the Garlic chicken and the garlic shrimp
Went to dinner tonight at Hawaiian Style BBQ on Gordon Hwy. The food was great and the service was fantastic. If you would like to experience Hawaiian Food, a little Aloha, and a lot of Ohana, I highly recommend this place. Go hungry!!!
Chicken bbq is my favorite. They treat you like family. Rice is the good kind and they have POG. Also my fave.
From the moment I walked in and was greeted with an “Aloha” it took me back to O’ahu. Mrs. Lehua is still as sweet as I remember her. We lived in Germany back in the day and her son Kane was one of my closest friends. The food is as authentic as it gets, down to the plates and the Aloha drinks. With the island music in the background, and a mean plate of short ribs in front of me, and for a minute there I was back in the North Shore. Highly recommended for anyone in the Augusta, Fort Gordon area, or anyone driving through. Mahalo!!!
Amazing comfort food and the staff is so friendly! Would definitely recommend!
I read the reviews online, was convinced and thought I'd give it a shot. Today was my lucky day. It was soooo worth it. I had the BBQ Chicken with Garlic Shrimp combo and 3 sides(white rice, hawaiian sweet roll, cabbage kimchi). It was AMAZING and so delicious. Everything was fresh and super appetizing. The chicken was sooo good, perfectly grilled and seasoned. The shrimp was very garlicky, which I happen to like. I will definitely be coming back to try more items off the menu. I can't wait!
Absolutely love it! Best island BBQ in GA! The Garlic and Hawiian bbq chicken are amazing and Kalua pork is bomb!
I brought my nieces and nephews who had never tried Hawaiian food. They had a blast. The food was the real thing!
This place is amazing! Everything I ate was delicious. I will definitely be returning and highly suggest this place to everyone.
Onolicious!! Kalbi ribs, teriyaki beef, and teriyaki chicken was the winner. Owners from North Shore, Oahu. Red Raider Nation! Cheehoo!!
Been following your facebook page for a couple years now and finally came in with my family Saturday and I have to say we really enjoyed ourselves. The food is great!!! We will definitely be coming back soon.
Excellent taste of Hawaiian flavors and texture. I ordered the teriyaki beef and my wife got the garlic chicken. Highly recommend showing up before the lunch rush as this place gets busy.
Some of the best food you can get in Augusta hands down. Great portions, lots of variety, great customer service and of course the food taste amazing. You will leave full and satisfied. The garlic chicken was great, had fried dumplings and lumpia for appetizers. Definitely try the spam musubi too.
Happen to spot this place out dling Lyft. So I pulled over to see what was what. It's a nice little family spot. They greet everyone as soon as you walk in. They have take out or dine in. I ordered my food and it was brought to me in a timely manner. And I must say the food was very good. I was told the sweet tea was probably the best in augusta(gigi) lol.. I dont know about that.... but it was good I must admit. The food was on point. Like I had no complaints. I will definitely be back because they have more stuff I want to try. If you know anything about Hawaiian cuisine or just want to try I definently reccomend this spot
BEST LOCAL FOOD IN THE MAINLAND!!!! I HAVE HAD SEVERAL DIFFERENT FOOD PLACES IN GEORGIA FLORIDA AND TEXAS BUT HANDS DOWN NOBODY CAN COMPARE TO YOU♥️♥️‼️ IF YOURE LOOKING FOR 💯 PERCENT LOCAL KIND GRINDZ LIKE BACK HOME THEN THIS RIGHT HEA IS DA ONE‼️‼️
Absolutely love this small local authentic business. Hawaiian owned & the service is superb. I have been coming here for a few years. I love Boomer & the food. There is something for everyone. From garlic shrimp to spicy garlic chicken to short ribs & delicious creamy mac salad & fresh delicious kimchi....the mahi mahi katsu(lightly breaded & fried) is my husband's absolute go to. Mine is the spicy(xtra spicy) garlic shrimp. I highly recommend this place for a lunch or dinner. The spam musubi is always made & specials for the weekend are available.
This place has a following that only good food that is consistent can do. Nice family owns the place making their delicious family recipes. The teriyaki is a family favorite!
I'm happy we stumbled upon this nondescript joint driving to Augusta, because we had a delightful time trying out the many Hawaiian-style culinary dishes and chatting with the family that owns it. They made us feel at home, and were very helpful throughout our time there. There's a lot to choose from on the menu, and we look forward to going back to try The things we missed the first time around. We dined in instead of doing carryout, and they weren't too busy at the time we went (which was fine with us as we don't take the kids out to eat much in the pandemic), but they have a drive-thru window as well. We hope to make it back this year!
Wow this was some of the best food I've tasted this year! Full of flavor and good portion sizes and friendly staff. Definitely will be a repeat customer.
