I don't usually come down to Auburn but today I needed to. After my errands were done I realized I was hungry and craving teriyaki. I opened up Google maps and was happy to see Himitsu. I read the reviews and saw that people were really happy with this place. My decision was made. When I arrived I was pleasantly surprised with the humble yet elegant wooden furnishings. This atmosphere helped me to relax as I reviewed the menu. The $6.99 chicken teriyaki was tempting but I felt that I wouldn't be doing justice to this fine establishment by ordering what I had considered "standard" food. I instead acted upon the beef combination. It came with an assortment of delishlishsly deep fried tempura shrimp, and assorted vegetables. The California rolls are some of the best I've ever tasted. And I eat a lot of sushi. The teriyaki beef is quite enjoyable. I know this sounds odd too, but the rice is actually some of the best rice I've ever had.... It's weird. I never thought rice could be so enjoyable. Thank you Himitsu. ^^

THIS LOCATION IS CLOSED Its just your standard teriyaki joint anymore. Prices are fairly standard, with a few sushi options, but not the variety they used to have unfortunately. I've never had a problem with takeout, but the last time my friends and I L in for a sit down there was a problem for a friend who was vegetarian. She asked if the fried rice was vegetarian, was assured that it was, and when the dish came there was meat in it. The server wouldn't remove it from the bill although it was her error, and unrelated, but still a problem, I didn't receive the 10% off that you were supposed to for paying in cash. Its been awhile since then, so I don't know if the girl still works there, but its something to be aware of if you have dietary restrictions. I stopped in a few nights ago to grab something after work, and everything was fine, I just got chicken teriyaki and some sides. It was as to be expected. My main suggestion would be to pan fry the gyoza, rather than deep fry, deep fried gyoza are the saddest thing.

The Teriyaki both plain and spicy are OK. However, the Yaki Soba was the worst I've ever had....Mostly tasteless big noodles with old and hard chicken bits, and only a few small pieces of cabbage. A disaster. Since it was take out I couldn't tell the owners how bad that dish was. Stick with the basics.

My family love coming here, its got an homey feel to it, friendly service & I love that u get 10% off your total if you pay with cash. Their pho is one the best I've ever had plus the spicy fried sushi. Our favorite is the terriyaki bento plate.

The food was Meh at best. we got gyoza for an appetizer, and that was just okay. For our dinners we had a chicken bento box, shrimp fried rice, and chicken udon soup. Everything in the bento was blah and not very flavorful. The miso soup smelled like chlorine and had very little taste to it. The udon didn't smell quite right and the more I ate, the more yucky it tasted and smelled. The fried rice was the best meal, but still very boring. I wouldn't recommend this place. We have had far better, especially for the price.

They have AWESOME teriyaki and the other half likes the sushi. The only complaint I have is that they could let oil drip of the egg rolls and the gyoza a little longer.

We ordered 5 meals for lunch for our company - 3 employees got Pho and have been sick for 24hrs straight now. I got the chicken teriyaki and gyoza meal and got no rice or salad.
