The Sunset Restaurant

I had the most disappointing experience here today. My boyfriend was taking me here for a much needed relaxing Sunday dinner. I ordered an open steak on garlic bread Medium well. My dinner was served bleeding so I politely sent steak back to be cook a bit more. Chef was yelling we could here him sent it back to me one Second later exactly the same. Asked to please cook a little bit more. Never saw my dinner again for half an hour. My boyfriend and the waitress felt terrible. When my boyfriend had totally finished eating I received the steak back totally burned up, dried out and my garlic bread had been taken and replaced by a place be piece of bread. I feel the cook was spiteful. The resteraunt was empty so chef was not backed up. Owner comped my meal That I appreciate. Tipped the waitress for both dinners. I will never eat their again .

The food was okay. Two at our table had the fish, unfortunately it was somewhat dry, and the others at the table had chicken and it was a little under done. The bread and coleslaw were pretty good and the salad was really nice. It was busy at the restaurant, but our waitress was attentive and very friendly. Based on the food I likely would not be back.

Got food poisoning from the chicken cordon bleu. A guest in my party ordered the haddock and rice. The fish was rotten and the rice was hard. Table next to us said that their soup was not "good" and sent it back. Floor was filthy. We did not have to pay for the haddock and the waitress was at least working hard and doing her best. Overall, I am absolutely disgusted by my experience and will not be returning.
