Idis Downtown Bar & Grill

The customer service here is amazing, you're greeted with a friendly smile and basically get waited on hand and foot after sitting down. It's cafeteria style eating, so the wait isn't long for your food at all. I got a fried chicken meal with a squash medley and mac and cheese, as well as an oxtail meal with potato salad, collard greens, and yellow rice. I liked the chicken leg, but im not a fan of monstrous chicken wings, they don't really take flavor well. I wasn't a fan of the oxtail, it was really tough. All the sides were good, ESPECIALLY the potato salad, it was amazing.

Food is good! Prices are great! Staff is cool. Price to park isn't bad for downtown location. 1st time having a jerk Turkey wing! Cornbread is amazing. I would've gave 5 stars but I ask the cashier & she asked a lady mgr about the flavor of the chocolate cake NO ONE knew & I never got an answer. They were too concerned w/a lady whom was complaining about her Red Velvet cake being too dry for $4 a slice. I took that as a sign to leave the cake alone & eat the food.

I first came here 4months ago food was great! Last night I ordered ribs, Mac and cheese and yams.. IT WAS AWFUL.. I SPENT $33 I also ordered pork chops with yellow rice the rice was not near done. I was so disappointed I will never go back. Oh the ribs were smothered in spicy bar b q sauce to cover up the fact that they were all dried out and rubbery.That was a waist of Uber ride and $33 on food. All of this went in the trash...

Smiling faces and warm welcomes greet you #first, then the line of southern choices that's hard to choose from.. I had jerk turkey leg, greens, mashed potatoes & beef gravy & of course corn bread. Best Almond Palmer too 😋😋😋😋 Yeah I had to be wheeled out my stomach was too happy😄 prices are affordable all that for $7💋 your welcome🌞
