My husband visited John's Fine Food years ago, and loved it. The restaurant closed down for sometime. We was driving near its location and noticed it had reopened. It was my first time trying the food. I had fried chicken, Mac & cheese, yams. It was ok! However I think it could have been alot better. Wasn't what I expected!! I may re-visit not absolutely sure.

We’ve been eating at John’s for many years. My husband loves the beef liver and greens. Since reopening we’ve been once on a Wednesday. The mac n cheese and mashed potatoes def needed some seasoning. Dressing, black eyed peas and cornbread tasted like what I remembered. The servers were not as friendly like the old crew. Edited: Returned on a Saturday to a wonderful and friendly staff!

The food was grossly under seasoned. The greens are from a can and the yams are have no sugar or cinnamon in them! A total waste of my money!! I’m entirely disappointed!! Plus the line crew lack customer service skills. They are rude and impatient.
In response to your response, I am not a competitor, nor do I do surveillance for one, as a matter of fact, there are no soul food restaurants within at least 8 miles of ur restaurant. I spoke with a manager the very same day and she told me that you all purposely don’t season your food because people have diabetes and high blood pressure. If your business caters to sick people then maybe you need to put a sign up letting people know the yams are not sweet, and there is just a hint of salt on everything else. Oh, and by the way, who messes up corn bread? When I tell you I threw my whole plate in the trash that is no exaggeration so don’t paint a deceptive picture to justify the horrible food you sell. People, please read the reviews before you waste your money at John’s fine/horrible foods.

John's Fine Food in Forrest park need to take this off they menu, whyyy y’all banana pudding look like this🤢🤢🤢🤮🤮🤮 and after tasting y’all so call Mac n cheese a week ago, THAT TASTEDLIKE EGGS! I gave them another chance AND STILL GOT DISAPPOINTED ☹️

Food was nothing I expected it to be . The Mac and cheese tasted like wet noodles with shredded cheese , as if they didn’t bake them or anything . Candied yams tasted like maple syrup . I mean there was no spices or anything and it had a jelly like consistency as if it came straight out the can . The fried chicken was ok and is the reason why I gave them 2 stars. The chicken was fried exactly how I like my chicken but had no type of flavor . Just bland . I threw the sides away and just ate the chicken with sliced bread . I was very disappointed

The whole line crew has bad attitudes/poor customer service. As long as the wait be in the line, you get up there to order your food and immediately want to walk away. The food doesn't taste like it used to and today I ordered fried wings and looks as if they were from 2 days ago with the feathers attached. I've tried the baked chicken last week and it was chewy. The yams taste like they're straight out the can with no flavor. I'll NEVER return, so disappointed.

Well let's just say this, the food is definitely off beat.I had a vegetables plate two side Mac n cheese, dressing and yams. I am All for supporting small business. My mother raved about this place back in the day. This place open back up I promise you ,this is my review which is the same as the others. food has no flavor Mac is off bad, dressing tasted a tad bit okay the yams was off flavor missing cinnamon and nut meg But Let me say this I am a foodie I travel to different places just to support small businesses I will not be back. Please upgrade the Mac n cheese ASAP cooks there need to cook with love No flavors bland food. The prices are set right All you guys need now is Love added to the food.

First time there the food looked and smelled good. Once we got it home the food tasted good but the greens and cabbage were so salty my friend was throwing up all night and I had the bubble guts. I only went there cause he said they had good food and I always pass it.. if you have a weak stomach or high blood pressure this place isn't for you.
