The James room is the definition of a hidden gem, if you blank you’ll literally miss this place. Really gives you that speakeasy feel. The scene is serene and comforting. Reservations are definitely recommended or you can end up waiting quite awhile depending on the night. The waiter was charismatic and attentive. The drinks were tasty for sure, good amounts of mixture and alcohol.

Super awesome vibes!! I’m from Chicago, and I’ve lived in LA and New York. I love the vibe of this spot! It gives me LA x speakeasy. Tunde my bartender was phenomenal I had an old fashion and a Mon Cheri both drinks were fantastic!! Highly recommend!

James room has first come first serve policy, which is good for people like me lol. But seriously, the bar is hidden behind a bakery with the bar visible. So discreet for calling it a speakeasy. But aside all that, they have good drinks and amazing music. We waited around 15 mins to get in on a Saturday night. Their espresso martini was my favorite. Their other cocktails was pretty good too. I ordered chocolate mousse from the bakery to compliment my drinks. I would definitely recommend this place.

Visited The James Room this past Friday night. Just looking for a nice spot to have a drink after dinner and this place did not disappoint. We were greeted as soon as we walked in and was given access to the bar (think of a Speakeasy). The front part is a deli and behind the deli is the bar. Great drinks and the music was also enjoyable (not a DJ but just a great playlist with a good mix of music). It wasn't too loud where you couldn't talk to the person next you. The staff behind the bar were super friendly and really worked well together. Our bartendress made one of the best Old Fashions I have had in Atlanta and my lady enjoyed the Dirty Martinis. We will definitely be back. Thanks for an enjoyable evening.

I hate to give up this spot, but this place is amazing! The staff is friendly, attentive and genuine-from the host all the way to the chef. Salad and lamb chops were bomb! Great vibes, delicious drinks made by the best bartenders. Def going back. Beautiful patrons as well. 10/10. And the morning coffee shop and pastries are also delightful.

Nice set up. The staff is super supportive of one another, and move as a team. There was a guy who was impeccably dressed at the front, who seemed to curate the entry & exit. To top it off, he was so kind. I really appreciated that. I had a wonderful time.

I had high hopes for this place. Guess I should've have read some of the other posts in detail. First glance, it has everything you would want... a good drink menu, cool speakeasy vibe and food. But in reality, my experience went downhill as soon as I interacted with host. She was rude at check in and I let it slide. Waited over 40 minutes as people were seated before us that walked in no reservation after us. She must've whispered my name because I never heard it. Just shows her extremely nonchalant attitude about taking care of guest as she could clearly see me waiting. Then she made it right (sacasm) by seating us in the worst seats in the house. No thanks... keep your attitude and I'll keep my money. Definitely wouldn't recommend this place. Updated for the response from the owner. Your account of what happened is not true. There was clearly a party of 2 that came in after us without a reservation but was seated before us because the hostess whispered my name in the loud waiting area and didn't make any other attempt to get our attention. You didn't address your hostess behavior but somehow can read my mind about what I was frustrated about. If that's the case you would know that I just expect more because I know how well run businesses operate and treat their patrons... and this place is not it.
