Penn Station East Coast Subs

Being from the Midwest I grew to love Penn Station. I sincerely think it's one of the best Phillys you can get. This location had issues in the past, mostly employee issues and cleanliness. To the point where I really wouldn't come here anymore because I knew even if there was 1 person in front of me I would be there for at least an hour waiting. That being said I made another visit lately and have to say things have really improved. It smelled freshly cleaned and the men's bathroom was surprisingly clean. I think most of the credit has to go to the new employees. First, there were two people working when in the past it was only one person doing everything. The two people working were actually very good, the Indian women and a young man with twist dreads both deserve raises. They actually do their job and seem to care. Thanks to the recent changes I hope to be back soon!

Stopped by today with my boyfriend (were from the north) since we're used to Penn station!! Let me tell you . DELO, the only guy working, was doing his THING !!! awesome customer service and attitude out of this world also hot juicy food. And all around hard worker. He rocked it today attending to all the other customers and orders to go by himself. You did great today Delo thanks for making our experience amazing. And give this kid a raise!!!

I didn’t even know this place existed until just a week ago. The staff and the place was amazing. I ordered the Philly cheesesteak with fries and drink. It was AMAZING! I say amazing in caps because I don’t consider this a restaurant. This is more like a fast food place so and it’s AMAZING just for that. The only drawback I have is they have no type of hot sauce or jalapeños at all! I even asked the owner and she didn’t have any in the back. Luckily they have ranch but not having anything spicy is most likely a deal breaker for me.

Being from Saint Louis, let me clear up a few things these reviewers are missing. This is not subway, there are not pre-made ingredients to slap on a sandwich and get you out in 3 minutes flat. This is Penn Station. EVERYTHING is made TO ORDER for you. So yes, it's going to take about 10-15 for that phili cheesesteak because they're literally cooking steak. I went in there the other night and there were two gentlemen behind the counter, and three people ahead of me. By the time I got my order about 13 minutes passed. I got a Chicken Alfredo Melt, a heaping of fresh fries to go along with it, and some freshly squeezed lemonade. Everything tasted amazing, and you could tell the gentlemen behind the counter loved what they do. They were very personable and made the whole experience great for a born-and-raised Saint-Louis-er. 10/10 would recommend anyone to come here for a proper mid-west food experience!

The food quality is superb! The fries come out fresh a can be and crispy! The design of the subs are consistent and very neat in appearance! The only complaint I would have is for the staff to have a sense of urgency when making these meals while remaining consistent with great customer service. At some points with the customers I felt that the work production slowed to a comfortable pace when it should be as quick as possible while remaining consistent! Other then that everything else is great! A definite reccomend!

Came for Philly Cheese steak with my son. Small area inside, outdoor seating as well. Person who took the order was friendly, and took his advice on ordering one medium fry because it was enough for us both. I had the 10" Philly with sauteed onions, banana pickles, mayonnaise, mustard, and this time pizza sauce. It was delivered hot with plenty of cheese. Fresh cut fries were ok, and could have been warmer. Had the fresh squeezed lemonade as well. Few patrons before and after us. Placed a napkin under the table to balance it. Overall good experience.
