The chicken quesadilla is out of this world. It took 40 minutes to get them but would had gladly wait 80 minutes, that’s how good this was!!
They put Mexico to shame, those fine Afro-American are the real Mexican deal.

The food here is excellent! I eat here a lot since i work in the airport. I highly recommend the fried chicken taco (with no cilantro unless you love cilantro). Their nachos are really good too and come with queso. I did read some of the other reviews that mention them being slow and i can attest to this if you go there in between breakfast and lunch. I believe they are short employees so they can be a tad slow when they are short handed. But if you can wait-its worth it! The food tastes great and they are all really nice.

Quiet at 6 PM Wed. This is in the best terminal (F) upstairs. They fired up the grill for me. It tasted fresh and well done compared to most of the airport food I’ve had. Simple menu but good ingredients in friendly service. Small but good tacos and tasty cheesy quesadillas.

Flew through ATL and stopped here for lunch. I agree with the comments regarding the service - it’s pretty atrocious. I only had 1 other person ahead of me and it took over 10 mins to get through the line. The guy at check out seemed like he wasn’t even aware he was on planet earth. Once I finally got up, I ordered nachos with the chicken in a cup on the side…. I think that’s a pretty easy, straight forward order. This dude just stared blankly at me like he hadn’t a clue in the world what I was saying. His manager piped in and said that was fine and to put the order in and he continued to just stare right through me, utterly confused. It was very odd. Otherwise, though, I thought the food was really yummy. The nachos came with a small portion each of jalapeños, sour cream, guacamole and pico. I have a really sensitive stomach and I was admittedly nervous to eat here, but my stomach reacted just fine. Overall if you have the time (we had a 2+ hour layover) I would definitely recommend eating here, despite the shotty service.

While traveling, I stopped at the Original El Taco and ordered the Pollo Asado. The blend of flavors was so good. The grilled chicken was tender, the guac was flavorful, and the pineapple jimaca was slammin’. My meal was delectable oveall!&

Very very surprised to find such delicious food in an airport! Everything tasted fresh and the chips in the nachos were Crunchy good!

This place is perfect for those who don't mind spending $5 for a single taco and $6 for a beer. I ordered the steak fajita for 16$ and I figured it would come with rice and beans like any other Mexican restaurant. Nope, it came with just 6 small strips of steak, and a ton of cooked vegetables, which the server still asked if I wanted a to-go box for; I guess people take their veggies home. Anyway, I don't hate this place, I just wouldn't recommend it to anyone that is trying to get their money's worth for a good Mexican meal.

It was excellent food and service. We had the taco platter/board. You get a choice of 5 different ones. We had the Carnetas, pork cheek, fish, steak, and fried chicken tacos. We swapped the rice and beans for roasted corn. It was all amazing. If I had to pick a favorite it would probably have to be the Carnetas, or the pork cheek. If there is any negatives it would have to be the size of the tables. They bring so much food out there is hardly enough room with drinks and chips. The salsa is excellent as well, but the one they have marked as "seriously, seriously hot" is not really. They do have a large selection of hit sauces though. Prices are more than reasonable in my opinion. We will definitely be back.

Had an amazing experience a couple nights ago at this joint. The food was spot on. Executive chef Jack McGinn suggested many items from the menu and they were all fantastic. Hard to pick a favorite but the fried chicken tacos and the grilled scallions were definitely at he too of the list. Spectacular service and a fun atmosphere made the entire experience memorable. We were so happy with the meal that we got a gift certificate to give to a chef friend of ours.

The food is delicious and pretty afforable for being in that area. The drinks are strong, tacos are delicious and the ambaiance is a nice place to relax after a long week at work, hanging with friends/family or taking it to go. The taco board is great to share and sample different tacos; I had the shrimp, fried fish, fried chicken, pork cheek and steak. My family had others, but our faves are definitely the fish, chicken and steak :) I'll definitely go back to try the other options. The menu isn't a huge one, but the cooks definitely focus on making the items on it taste wonderful. The salsa bar was also a nice touch.

We have attended a couple of company parties there and loved the place. We just had family in from Washington, DC and they had been to El Taco a few years back. They said they HAD to go back because they couldn't get the same great food up north! The place didn't disappoint! The food was fantastic! Service was outstanding!

It's a must that we visit this place when traveling from Chicago! It's my 5th visit and they haven't disappointed yet. The fried chicken taco is a must and the frozen mojito was really good!

The food is amazing, and so are the people. It’s a busy Saturday night and even though there was a wait, the host Nikayla, was super kind and welcoming. She was patient and pleasant. My server Casey was the bees knees. Every restaurant needs a Casey. The gentleman that ran my food, Ryan, was an absolute delight and made sure I was set and ready to enjoy my meal.
Keep it up El Taco. Keep it up.

Love this place-- we drove from East Cobb just the experience the amazing 5 taco tray!! Kelley was great & helped us find the Big Boy margaritas-- winner!!! The "mom& pop" feel with great food and drinks-- it's a no-brainer why we drive past 47 other taco places to come here!! ❤️❤️❤️

It was a cool little joint and the food was great. The only disappointing part were the margaritas. While the taste was pretty good, they were slim in the tequila department....Overall, it was a great little place though.

Wasn't the least bit impressed. The service was poor. The chicken was undercooked. I didn't care for the seasoning on the chips and when I asked for plain ones I was told that the chips were made at the beginning of the shift and they couldn't make any without seasoning.

Limited menu and terrible service. Over an hour from the time we sat down until we got our entrees which were cold. Had to flag down our server for refills on our drinks. Waste of my time and money. Never again.
