I had gone on a red velvet cupcake adventure earlier today. I had gone to a total of four. Their red velvet came in 2nd place. It was good. The cake portion was a vibrant red, moist, and sweet. The frosting had a cream cheese taste, the texture was smooth, and it was NOT overly sweet.

Finally made it to Cakes like Velvet. The owner was very personable. I got the strawberry crunch cake and the red velvet. The cakes were really good. I did like that they weren’t overly sweet, moist and tasty. I fwi.

I drove 4 hours from South Carolina to try this place and whoa!!! The cake was some of the best we have ever had. Super friendly owner and was a really cool guy to talk with. Outstanding service and definitely worth the drive and will be back !!! Anyone on the fence get off and go by Cakes Like Velvet you WILL NOT regret it for one second.

This was the best cake I have had in a very long time. I ordered the 8in blue velvet with pecans and it did not disappoint. It stayed moist and fresh for over 8 days cause that's how long it took me to eat it. I will be ordering from them again in the near future.

Baby when I tell you!!!!! This was the BEST piece of cake I have had in a long time. I got the pineapple cheesecake cake and it was delicious. I had been following them on IG for a while now and came to see what the hype was about it. The hype is valid honey. I finished it before I got home. The texture, the flavor, taste,smell everything is in point. Head over there cake slices $5 on Thursday ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

Today was my first time ordering from them and when I say their cakes are literally like velvet. I have been to 3 different bakeries looking for cake since I moved here and all have disappointed because the cake was either muffin texture, hard or old. I ordered red velvet, vanilla, and keylime from Cakes Like Velvet. I have only tried the vanilla for now and when I say it's the most delicious vanilla cake I have ever tasted. It was so soft and moist. I'm currently 7 months pregnant and when I say I have a new craving. I'm trying my best not to eat the other 2 slices. I highly recommend them. They have absolutely the best cake ever!

Cakes are extremely moist and tasty. Red velvet and pineapple coconut are yummy. The owner is extremely kind and professional and tries to accommodate, even if last minute. Definitely support this black owned business and I can’t wait to try more flavors in the future.
