I had gone on a red velvet cupcake adventure earlier today. I had gone to a total of four. Their red velvet came in 2nd place. It was good. The cake portion was a vibrant red, moist, and sweet. The frosting had a cream cheese taste, the texture was smooth, and it was NOT overly sweet.
First time patronizing this establishment and I’m glad that I came! The blue and red velvet cakes are delicious and not too sweet which I love! I will definitely be back soon!
They have the best cakes! Giving a 4 because I requested crumbs on my order but didn't get it.. This was Blue Velvet! Black owned and I will continue to support
Finally made it to Cakes like Velvet. The owner was very personable. I got the strawberry crunch cake and the red velvet. The cakes were really good. I did like that they weren’t overly sweet, moist and tasty. I fwi.
Their cakes are light and sweet. The flavors taste how they are supposed to taste. My two favorite are the pineapple and lemon cake. Delicious!

I drove 4 hours from South Carolina to try this place and whoa!!! The cake was some of the best we have ever had. Super friendly owner and was a really cool guy to talk with. This was the best cake I have had in a very long time. I ordered the 8in blue velvet with pecans and it did not disappoint. It stayed moist and fresh for over 8 days cause that's how long it took me to eat it. I will be ordering from them again in the near future.

Cakes are extremely moist and tasty. Red velvet and pineapple coconut are yummy. The owner is extremely kind and professional and tries to accommodate, even if last minute. Definitely support this black owned business and I can’t wait to try more flavors in the future.
