Marie's At Ummat's - Atlanta - Photo album

I came in for lunch and immediately felt so seen, welcomed, and valued for being there. The woman serving me gave me the biggest smile from the beginning, was so attentive, and thanked me for choosing the cafe for my lunch. And boy I wish I could come everyday. Maybe I’ll treat myself for dinner on
I don't usually get to eat Southern style food, so I was really excited to find a halal place! I got the ribs with 3 sides - all of it was so good and I had leftovers for the next day. It is a bit pricey, but I would still highly recommend 😸
Meat and 3 spot. I originally came for the tea shop that is housed in the same storefront but had to try the food after getting a good look at it. Excellent customer service, well-seasoned food. It’s unfortunate I don’t live closer or I would be a regular. It straight up tastes like someone’s South
While waiting for a tow truck in the pouring rain, I decided to check this place out because I drive past so often. The woman at the tea counter made the best cup of tea I’ve ever had. Got the caramel apple ceylon - a seasonal specialty. Definitely recommend!
Peace Family, This meal right here ( lol ) is my favorite meal. A party in belly! Grilled Salmon - Eggplant Stew - Mac n Cheese & Navy Beans. ( I always switch up my sides. ) This establishment IS my 2nd home! I promise! The vibes are ALWAYS loving, the staff is incredible & the food is very much
Wow! Perfect for out-of-towners and locals alike. Amazing food. FRIENDLY service. A real community feel. I’m in town from Boston, and I didn’t know the process to order — but the lady was SO amazing and helpful, and I ended up with the most delicious food. Thank you!! Best zucchini I’ve ever had
The food and the bean pie are always so delicious and tasty! Consistency in the food preparation is important and they have perfected their dishes. Halal and healthy! We had chicken dinner and lamb shank dinner with tasty veggies seasoned to perfection!
This place is amazing for anyone who is a tea lover of such as myself. The service is top-notch and the knowledge of the ladies who work there is impressive they have teased that heal the body and the soul. It's definitely on my list of places to visit on a weekly basis.
I had a nice experience. Food was good but the rice could have used more seasoning. The mac-n-cheese tasted a bit sweet. Was charged for meat & three when I only ordered two sides. Noticed it after receiving my receipt. Lkked that drink was included with the meal. Staff was friendly. Didn't
When I say this is one of my favorite restaurants in the city. Food is excellent a d just a great atmosphere. Lamb shank, turkey lasagna or any meal you get, the food is quality. You will enjoy the experience.
Catching up on reviews. I stopped by for dinner while in the area on Saturday, 06-04-22. I always try to visit a new spot before returning home. The reviews were good, so I wanted to taste for myself. I sat outside to enjoy my meal around 7:30 pm. A couple of items I wanted to try weren't available
This beef rib plate was delicious! They were well seasoned and fell off the bone—super tender and flavorful. The mac-n-cheese, greens and squash were perfect. Every time I come here, the food is always good and good for the soul. And I always add the mango ginger beverage. Yum! The only complaint o
I’m so glad I found this gem. The staff was amazing and the food phenomenal. The only improvement I would suggest is to descale the fish and use some lime juice to clean the fish. It tasted quite fishy. I will definitely go back!
Come hungry! Large portions. Seasoned just right. They have a wide variety of meats. I'm having the turkey meatloaf. It's delicious. Ok, I'm editing this. This place is great! Very friendly and the food is fabulous.
Only leaving a review because I just watched the episode of Restaurant Impossible that featured this cafe and wanted to follow up. Hope the original family of owners are well and that the interior still looks nice.
I love coming here food is always good, other then the occasional random need of a little salt. I do not like when a buisness changing quantity is promoting one thing, but you do not receive it and still charge the same price.
During my trip to Atlanta in 2018, my wife and I stumbled upon the Community Cafe and were in for a delightful surprise. The Halal restaurant is tucked away in a cozy location and offers a range of Southern-style fare, sandwiches, and salads. We ordered the grits and a few other dishes, and each of
The community cafe has a warm and quiet atmosphere with wonderful people and home cooked style halal food. The food was fresh, flavorful and satisfying.
