This place was amazing!!! The chicken and waffles were perfect in seasoning and texture as well as the drinks, tasty and not to expensive. Over all an amazing breakfast place to hit up right before the aquarium!!!!!

My husband and I went for brunch looking for mimosas. The pineapple mimosa was AMAZING. The food was to die for and to top it all off our waiter austin deserves 5 stars himself. So kind and loved all the suggestions he had. Would 100% come back for the food but the service is what would make us come back time and time again.

Five to ten minute wait at the bar for our party of 5. Brunch was very tasty. I had shrimp & grits which was not very spicy but seasoned well; my wife had the duck confit with gold Yukon potatoes and a fried egg on top. The other 3 in our party had the french toast with apple compote & bacon. The bacon appeared a little fatty, but otherwise our meals were delicious and filling! Service was excellent and the decor & atmosphere was comfortable for conversation. We will return to the Blackbird. 5 stars!

We had an excellent brunch! Great food and equally as good and friendly service. We had the french toast and grits with sausage—both were excellent.

We were on a trip from Texas and tried this place out for brunch. We are certainly glad that we did! Amazing food, amazing staff and amazing atmosphere. They were very accommodating to my children and the service was top notch. When you’re in Atlanta, make this a stop for some great grub. You will not be disappointed.

We visited Blackbird on a Sunday morning as out of town guests. It was a short walk from our hotel and right behind the aquarium. When we arrived at 10:30, there was only one other table of diners. We were seated right away, our server was very helpful, and we both decided to get the chicken and waffles. Portion size was perfect and I am obsessed with their tea brined fried chicken. I'm going to try to recreate it back home!

We hosted our Family's Mother's Day Brunch at Blackbird and it was amazing! You can get unique items that you won't find anywhere else on the menu. You can get sweet or salty! The staff was amazing and very friendly. I can't wait to come back!

This place was amazing! We went there for brunch and had one of the most perfect mimosas I've ever had. The service was amazing and the staff was incredibly friendly. The food was also something special. There must be some kind of wizardry going on in that kitchen to make something so delicious. If I could give this place 6 stars, I would!

Visited BLACKBIRD for brunch with my bonus mom. It's her birthday. We thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. Our meals were on point. The atmosphere is tranquil, and classy. The location was great for our next venture, the Georgia Aquarium. It is literally a tenth of a mile walking distance.

I went to Black Bird ATLANTA for the first time tonight for a spoken word poetry open mic event hosted by Queen Sheba. I made my special table reservation on their website after calling in and feeling welcomed by the hostess on the phone. Parking across the street was free and plenty. When I walked in, I was greeted as if I were a family 💞 I was seated at a special table that matched my requests. Chef came out and greeted me 😳 Chef 👨‍🍳Matthew asked what I wanted to eat 😲 I said I was vegan 🌱 and he told me he’d like to make me something special 😯 I loved the idea! He asked me which vegetables I loved and went away. When he came back, he had a plate of delicious, made in house, vegan 🌱 pasta 🍝 loaded with my favorite veggies AND GARLIC, which I loooove! When Queen Sheba arrived to host the event, she looked at my food and ordered the same thing - it was so good! I think everyone must come here to simply experience Chef Matthew’s cooking and his unique friendly personality. He’s very humble. - - - Now, let’s talk about the open mic 🎤 poetry itself, which was why I was there. Disclosure: I was very scared. Really! Sharing my spoken word at an open mic night is a new thing and I’m shy. But I was welcomed and felt at home right away! People from Atlanta, Chicago, New York, Toronto, and Russia shared their spoken word poetry and I now feel encouraged to come back! I shared FOUR POEMS tonight 💞 It’s an awesome place! 👍🏻 Is it next Sunday yet? 😁 Sunday nights are for spoken word poetry open mic here at Black Bird Atl!
