Review Ration And Dram - Atlanta

Have been twice now and excellent experience both times. Drinks are amazing (if they have it available, our fave has been the Pink Squirrel) and I cannot recommend the Agedashi Tofu enough. We would have gone back for that alone, and we're excited to check out the other cocktails. Ambiance is chill. Our server was attentive and looked out for us when some unwelcome dudes tried to sit at our table the first time. Ample street parking since it's on a dead end, plus some spots around the back. Cool art inside. They do have an upstairs which has a bit of a different vibe; not sure if it is being renovated as it looks like it used to belong to a tiki bar. But service and food is still great!

This place was fantastic! We had brunch there last Saturday and we were not disappointed. My husband and daughter got the chicken biscuit. I had the Lady Bostick and the pumpkin king. And we all shared the beingets. Everything came out fresh and hot and was absolutely delicious. We were seated immediately, but it did take a while to get our orders taken and our food out. But we really weren't in a hurry and the vibe was very cool.

I've been coming to Dead End for about 3 years now. This place is very consistent in its service and food, both fantastic. Their gluten free options are delicious. If you are interested in checking this place out, but sure to look at the specials on the chalkboard. Can't say enough good things about the bar, food, and the people that work there.

Visited on a tiki theme night. I had the chicken, and it was good. The drinks were cute, but not strong. The atmosphere was the best. It reminded me of Cheers. It seemed like everyone knew each other, and the staff was really personable.

Dead end drinks is our absolute favorite. The staff is amazing, and this is the neighborhood bar you’re looking for. I love how accommodating they are for food allergies. My partner has celiac and we have always felt safe here. There is often a wait at the busiest times, but I promise it is worth it every time (keep an emergency protein bar in your car.) Check your entitled attitude at the door and you’ll have an excellent time. We have never had a bad drink or dish. Everything is phenomenal and we love the staff. If we could afford it we would be here every night. 💕

Inconspicuously located in front of the entrance to an apartment complex, Ration and Dram is a quaint and eclectic restaurant with a unique Halloween decor. There was a small parking lot in front of the restaurant that made it easy to access. The interior is small, but also has a lovely outdoor patio for outdoor seating. Had the fish and chips (not what you are thinking, it's a trout dip with potato chips and it's delicious!) as well as the chicken sandwich and burger which were all great. Our waitress, Lauren, was fast and super friendly.

Update: Tried the brunch and it is amazing!! We started with mimosas and beignets and the beignets are as good as you would get at cafe du monde in NOLA. I also had the eggs in purgatory and it was so good. Fresh basil and tomatoes with poached eggs. So good! Their coffee was also tasty! Service was great. Nice patio and indoor space with lots of room around each indoor table. Stopped in for a late dinner and had a great time. Excellent drinks (I had the Bee's Knees), great food, friendly staff in a safe atmosphere. All servers wore masks. Good spacing between table. Nice outdoor seating area. I had the wings and fries with spicy mayo. They were very tasty! I also tried the chicken and dumplings which was also very good. I also really enjoyed the build-your-own charcuterie...they have a little paper with lots of options to mix and match. We tried the olives, soppressata, manchego, toasted bread and deviled eggs. All were excellent.

This place has great vibes. Service is top notch. The portions are pretty generous and can definitely be split between two people. Can’t go wrong!

We absolutely love this place. My partner has food allergies, including gluten, but so much of the menu can be made gluten free. The staff knows the menu and bar offerings inside and out so they can always answer questions about preparations or ingredients. We love the vibe and that the menu rotates. With allergies it can be really hard to return to the same restaurant because you have limited options and often end up eating the same thing every time. -not the case at all with Ration and Dram/Dead End Drinks. The only draw back is that I think they have more seating than they have staff to facilitate. People often get annoyed or frustrated with the wait, when there are open tables. If you watch the staff you can see that they are all working their tails off. All I can say is, we have become regulars here in the last few months and it’s worth the wait. My recommendation is just enjoy the atmosphere and your company, and maybe eat a snack before if you’re coming at a peak time.

This place is delicious and fantastic. The service is friendly and the food & cocktails creative. They have the most well-stocked bar I've ever seen this side of Portland. The bartender will be happy to recommend cocktails and whip up things off-menu when it's quiet. The restaurant has a neighborhood feel and is on a quiet street. Parking is free and mostly on the street. I recommend it as a good drinking/hanging out spot and for pre-show meals before going to the Pinch 'n' Ouch theater across the street.

Ration & dram is a hidden gem! The food and staff are great. I would order the beignets and chicken biscuits again! Update: I returned months later and they are still delicious. They definitely get busy and the staff are always friendly.

Oh my goodness y'all. They have gluten free fried chicken and gluten free biscuits! I haven't had nashville hot chicken in years and I was able to have it at brunch. It was delicious. One of the owners waited on us and she was as nice as can be. I'll be back for their gluten free hamburger.

Dead End Drinks (formerly Ration & Dram) is a gem of a neighborhood bar and restaurant. Excellent food, fantastic bar, great service. It’s a small space and people love it, so sometimes you have to wait for a table but that’s to be expected. Can’t recommend Dead End enough

One of the only places I'll return to. I used to live across the street and try to hit up their brunch every time I'm in town, if only for a cup of coffee and a hick fil a sandwich. Their gluten free biscuits are out of this world. The tomato skillet (with a fried egg) is also Delicious. I hope to see the crispy mushroom again sometime (I might be wrong that it's not on the menu anymore)... I may hyperbolize , but that could have been my literal favorite thing to eat out in Atlanta.

If you find this jewel you are rewarded with fine food and service. We went for brunch and were pleasantly surprised at the quality of this fine establishment. Be sure to try their beignets as you wait for your main course. We had Eggs Benedict, The Norm, Sweet Lady a McDowell and Hick-Fil-A. We enjoyed several delicious cocktails. Food for 6 was about $12 per person and drinks $6-10 each. Outdoor and indoor dining. We just walked in without reservations for brunch, but reservations might be required for evening meals. Parking was good.

WOW! This tiny hole-in-the-wall is packed with flavor, charm, and warm personalities. It's not the easiest to find, and I'm selfishly hoping it doesn't get too noticed. 😁 We had a little trouble deciding between the mouth-watering options, and Andy helped us decide. We got the Breakfast Enchiladas and the Sweet Lady, with Punch in the Rye to drink. Holy moley what flavors. And Andy even hopped outside to pick us some fresh mint for our drinks. Now we're excited about trying lunch and dinner here, too!

The food was delicious, and cooked to perfection! The wait was not long since I got there before they opened. My waitress was great! Even though she had a lot on her plate she kept great energy.

Excellent breakfast food, including an out of this world potato hash, and fantastic selection of cocktails. Friendly staff and lovely atmosphere. Definitely coming back anytime in in Atlanta!

We were excited to try this place but left feeling pretty "meh". The restaurant has a great feel to it when you walk in but the service changed the ambiance. We sat at the bar and the bartender seemed annoyed by our presence from the minute we sat down. Super pretty eyes but pretty grumpy personality....with every table it seemed. I ordered a mimosa which was okay but there was an orange wet powdery looking substance on the glass as I drank it. Instant mimosa? I have no clue but have never seen that. Bartender/server forgot to enter our order of beignets but we weren't upset. That happens. Our food came out and it really wasn't anything exciting. Grits were watery but still tasted decent. The chicken biscuit sandwich was just not good at all. Very bland and the biscuits did not seem fresh. I'm guessing they were not made in house but I could be wrong. The chicken was the tiniest sliver of fried chicken ever. My girlfriend ordered the starter portion which is one sandwich and I ordered the platter which was two and all three were pretty lackluster in size and taste. I also asked for a side of pimento cheese and later realized that it was $4. A bit much if you ask me. There were other plates going out of other dishes that looked good but I don't think that I would come back here just due to the "we don't want you here" vibe from the servers/bartenders. We had high hopes for this place so pretty bummed that we had a poor experience.

I was not very pleased with my experience. Food was mediocre and the service was terrible. We sat at the bar to have a drink as we waited on our table. We sat at the bar for maybe 8-10 minutes before the bartender even acknowledged we were sitting there. He took our drink orders and delivered drinks, and essentially never came back. We were even contemplating eating at the bar but he made that option impossible. We were then seated at our table upstairs and were told by the hostess, “there is only one server.” There were 8-10 tables of 2-6 people with only one server. So needless to say, it took forever to get our orders placed. There must have only been one person in the kitchen as well because our food took forever. When it finally arrived, I was very underwhelmed. The food seemed nothing like the description on the menu. My French toast sandwich was dry with only one slice of ham between. Pork belly was shriveled and burned. The food has poor presentation in general. Two stars because at least there were mimosas and Jenga.

Ok well first off!!! The cocktologiests of this place will BLOW your taste buds away with drinks that have no reason to exist other than the fact that you’ll be Ecstatic that they do. From the first drop that hits your taste buds you will be literally lifted to a trans dimensional plane where alcohol is considered sustenance. Shortly thereafter your food will arrive and you will be slammed back to the suffrage of the world you know only to be pulled back to another dimension of culinary exquisiteness. The chicken liver pate is good enough to be sold as a street drug, and the chicken and dumplings fills the holes in my soul. Oysters man.... wow. Who knew you could take something sooooo ugly and turn it into art.... must be a Picasso. By the time the second round drops you’ve forgotten all the cares and Struggles from the past 2 - 6 years of your life at least. If coming here is wrong then Im John Dillinger people!!! Do yourself a favor and find this spot!!! Oh yeah they got brunch too!!! Make sure to ask Jessie the bartender for his special Mamosa on sundays it’s amazing !!!!

My experience was perfect! We sat at the bar for brunch. Nitro coffee on tap was awesome!!! We had the best biscuits with chicken and pimento cheese, pork belly and grits and eggs Benedict with house smoked ham!!! The bartender/server was very attentive and efficient even though it was busy. So yummy!

I was extremely upset by the terrible customer service at this place. Not only did the food take forever but the waiter/bartender was very rude. I asked for no meat in my burritto and they not only put meat in it but when I told him about it he asked what did I want him to do about it. He wasn't apologetic nor did he care to correct it. I would never eat here again simply because I don't spend my money where I'm clearly not wanted or appreciated. I order a rum punch and he got upset because I didnt like it. He made it with orange juice, pineapple juice, rum, and ginger ale. Then topped it off with a lime and a lemon.

Brian the bartender facilitated my request for a custom mixed drink with no smile, but his incredible piercing eyes made you not care!! LOL! I had a great 1st visit with my dear friend and had wonderful wait service + a tour of the private party space that WILL be utilized for our future events. Caitlyn's butter infused gluten-free biscuits were a delight! Thanks guys. We'll definitely be returning.

Really good food and nice atmosphere. It's obvious this place isn't a soulless food factory à la Houston's.... They've embrace the concept that many restaurants never bothered accept: "Sometimes you can give people too much of a choice." They do a few different things daily at RATION & DRAM and they do them fantastic.
Kim Ferguson
My new favorite brunch spot! Delicious food and the best coffee I've had in months.

This place has breakfast food until 4p on Sundays!!!!! Service took forever, but the food was pretty good! I'd give it a 3.7 out of 5... Would probably go again someday but it isn't super duper high on my list.

I am in the neighborhood and I have never been disappointed. I love this place.. Walking distance and good food

Great neighborhood bar and restaurant offering delicious cocktails, a great beer selection, a seasonal menu, friendly staff, and a great dog-friendly patio.

The food, drinks and staff are awesome! It's a great place to meet up with your friends.

Worst restaurant experience ever!!! Food is great, but service is horrible. No excuses for this level of bad. Waited two hours for our food. Had to beg for water and drinks. They need to get their shit together. I will never go back. They lost a lot of money and customers last night.

Folk dropping good! I tried the chicken biscuit plate. Everything was great. The GA honey and apple butter were devine.

I loved the food. I loved the atmosphere. Our waitress had an interesting take on serving as she "overlooked" the fact I had to share water with my son the entire time but the sandwich made it worth it. I still dream about that sandwich.
