Grant Central Pizza East

Service was good, you seat yourself and you pay at the counter for dine in. Pizza was really good, I ordered small Pepperoni, sausage, green pepper, onions and jalapeños. They have a sweeter type sauce for pizza sauce. Prices are reasonable pizza was 16.00. And I had never seen a calzone as big as this one.

Ordered custom calzones. They take a little longer than the pizzas to come out but man was it worth the wait. One cut, cheese flowed onto the plate like lava. I was concerned that the extra toppings ordered would be sparse; they were not. The extra toppings were piled in plentifully along with that gooey cheese. If I had one complaint, it would be that the side of marina was not piping hot. But still, Definitely worth a second visit.

Very friendly staff, nice enough building. I had a meatball sub. The meatballs and bread were great, I didn't really like the sauce, but it didn't ruin it by any means, still a nice sandwich. The pizza has a little too much crust for my taste, but the toppings and cheese were good. Best part of the whole visit is the prices, inexpensive for what you get.

We came here back in Jan 2023. When I say this pizza was the bomb!! Is was fresh made to order. You can taste the oil and it was delicious!! We did order a just cheese for my daughter. It was a tad bit dry. However the place was dope. Nice rustic environment. The staff was friendly. He even gave a group of ladies a free dessert for them feeling like the menu or order wasn’t “clear”. We shall be back soon!!

2nd time is a charm! It had been several years since I’ve eaten here but today was the day that I knew I’d be back! I’ll give you my top 3 comments: 1. Staff was amazing. Super patient when ordering. Gave great suggestions. Super conversational. The parmesan on the pizza for me was, although they are not full service, they had someone coming by and checking on the tables. 2. About the food - I ordered a house salad. It was fresh & I believe the the lemon vinaigrette was nicely done. I also had a slice of the Super and it was just that. 3. THE CALZONE!(it’s gets it’s own comment)…I mean just look at the picture and vids. If you’re not convinced then they just aren’t your thing. Mine was stuffed chicken and spinach. I’m in love. Lastly, do you see that boat of marinara sauce!!!

I gave them 5 stars because they were the closest thing I've tasted to how pizza shops up North do it. Soon as I bit into a slice, it put me back in Boston on Mass Ave St. I was very surprised, the crust, grease, and cheese was an excellent taste and texture. My daughter also enjoyed her slice as well, the cook sliced her pizza into pieces which I thought was very accommodating. Nice chill spot with an outside portion as well. We will be back 👌👌👌
