Quite possibly one the last remaining Neighborhood Dive bars, that covers all aspects. The staff is friendly and helpful. You always feel safe, regardless of any incident. The food (oddly enough) is very good. It's a staple to VaHi and everyone's welcome with open arms.

A friendly staple of the Virginia-Highland neighborhood. People come for the cheap pitchers of PBR and stay for hours enjoying the great conversation and food. The staff always cares about the patrons and their safety. I have so many female friends who come here alone to drink and hang out because they know the bartenders always have their back.

This is a great local establishment! I just moved into the neighborhood over the summer and immediately felt welcomed when I walked in to Moe’s and Joe’s. The bartenders are extremely attentive to their customers. The food is good, the drinks are good. It’s a definitely worth a visit if you’re in the neighborhood!

Love this place! If you ever want to feel at home this is the place to be. Staff is great and food is good. There have been a lot of homeless people that bother everyone on the patio, I have even had one fondle himself in front of everyone, kids, families, even dogs!!!. So glad the staff cares about our safety and makes them leave. Also, they have enchiladas and fajitas Tues-Thurs!!!!!

This restaurant has been a staple in the n'hood for nearly 80 years. It's one of the only bars in the area which is still holding on to their roots, and providing reasonable prices (even $3.50 pitchers of pbr), free poker, trivia, and daily specials. This dive bar has been a local watering hole for my friends and I for years. No frills, good people, and fun nostalgia!
