Standard Tex Mex fare, the service was great, food was good and extremely well priced (we got out for under $40 with two dinners, cheese dip and a beer). The patio is lovely!

Decent Mexican food but not great. Guacamole tastes like instant mix. Meat is a bit too chewy. I remember this place used to be much better several years ago. I guess thats life.

I love this place! I just moved to the Brookhaven area about 5 months ago and I love Mexican food. I've tried a couple different Mexican restaurants around town and I gotta say none of them are as good as this one! They are true to the flavor, great prices, and keep a good classic look to the restaurant. I will continue to choose El Potro over the others. (:

Some of the best Mexican food I've had in a very long time. Food is super favorable and you get a big portion. Margaritas are amazing too! I can't get enough!

This has been our local Mexican restaurant "go to" since 1988. Always fast service, consistently good food, with basically the same menu through the years. On occasion we have margaritas, and they ain't bad!
A Caldo de Pollo for my Little Princess and a Special Dinner #25 for me.
Regarding the atmosphere, we ain't talking about the Chateau Fleur-de-lis from back in the day. It's a competitively priced Buford Highway restaurant. And, it's very good!
