No matter how beautiful the decorations or how great the music, everyone judges a wedding based on the quality of the food. Knowing that, we knew we had to hire Cafe Bombay (Ricky Walia) to handle ALL catering for our wedding – literally every single event (including food for small events at our house) was catered through CB Catering. And they did not disappoint. CB Catering was AMAZING – every single bite of food was delicious and mouth-watering! Before the wedding, Ricky was phenomenal and worked with myself, my mom, and husband to tailor the food to exactly what we wanted – taking every tasting note in stride. Moreover, Ricky was instrumental in helping us to design unique, exceptional, and scrumptious menus for each event. While at the wedding, I was blown away by the gorgeous and truly gorgeous presentation of the food (live stations are a must!). After the wedding, I still have friends and relatives telling me how much they enjoyed the food at the wedding and some even asking for Ricky’s number for their own events – always a sign of true admiration!
My mom and husband are so particular about their food and the fact that they don’t have a single complaint about the food and can only rave about it over and over speaks volumes!! Thank you!!! We will definitely be reaching out for all future events – you have a customer for life in us!
For anyone considering Ricky, just think about what you want for your event. If you want delicious food, unique presentations that will leave your guests speechless, and peace of mind that all catering will be smooth and easy – you should hire Ricky immediately.
Ricky and his team are the best! I had a 3 day wedding catered by CB and the WHG. I needed food that was different, unique, different cuisines, and different presentations. boy did they deliver! every event was different and delicious! I got so many comments on the food, quality and presentation. he will go above and beyond to create a menu that fits your needs. Can't thank you enough Ricky!
I have been to Cafe Bombay many times. The food is great. I love the lunch buffets. Sometimes I've been lucky enough to be seated in the back room when they have entertainment...makes a great evening with friends.
During a wedding, everyone remembers and talks about the food. And we must say, Café Bombay hit a home run by OOO-ing and AHH-ing us, and our guests, with creative and delicious delights during our wedding and reception. We highly recommend them to cater any event, including important ones, like the big day!
I can’t say enough incredible things about CB Catering! They catered all of my wedding events including meals for my out of town guests. Ricky and JT Uncle have always delivered, but the food was beyond our wildest expectations! The variety, presentation and quality were honestly one of the highlights of our wedding. Our guests couldn’t stop talking about the food! Thank you guys again for everything!
Cafe Bombay has the best Indian food within 5 miles. The menu is a delicious mix of popular Indian street food and favorites from standard Indian restaurants in America. They take a bit longer to prepare their food, but the wait is well worth it. The fish curry and garlic naan are especially delicious!
Have never eaten at the actual restaurant but the takeout we got from here on Christmas Day was incredible! The butter chicken and chicken vindaloo were reasonably priced and incredible!
We love, love Cafe Bombay Catering! After falling in love with Masti in ATL, we hired this group to cater our wedding day events. We had a lunch with appetizers as well as a dinner preceded by cocktail/appetizers. Each menu was unique, perfect, and mouth-watering. They even served beautiful flutes filled with mango lassi for our Indian ceremony! The food was so amazing that guests actually said the event felt less like a wedding and more like a food festival! If you want quality, deliciousness, and reliability: this is it! The food will make you wishing for more and more, and guests will devour it!
We had a fantastic experience with Cafe Bombay and Ricky from the moment we submitted a request for a proposal. Ricky put together an outstanding proposal that fit perfectly within our budget while also providing us with our top priorities for our wedding. Furthermore, prior to the tasting, he went through numerous revisions with us so we could get exactly what we wanted and try a range of options. On the day of the tasting, Cafe Bombay pulled out all the stops to make it a special and fun experience and followed up the day after to address all of the questions and changes we discussed during the actual tasting. After we chose Cafe Bombay, our planning process was easy and professional. We were able to go through numerous revisions of our plan with ease. The day of was executed perfectly. The food was fantastic. The service was excellent. Ricky ensured that our guests were well fed and got to try everything. We could seriously have not been happier with our choice to use Cafe Bombay. Thanks, Ricky!
The food is delicious and the service is excellent! I love the variety on the lunch buffet. The curried goat and sweet potatoe soufflé are my favorite.
Really like this place. My family loves this type of cuisine so we go here often. Always bustling and kitchen is quick. Always enjoy the curry and the naan is great
Decent food for decent prices! The menu had a great variety of both vegetarian and meat dishes. They also feature Indian street food which is always a plus! Be cautious when they mention 'spicy' alongside a dish, it is not toned down to suit the American palette! Good experience, overall.
I have read the other reviews and should not differ when it comes to the biggest Indian menu and a decent ambiance. I went there with my co-workers and found the place clean, good service and perfect in quality.
However the food was prepared for the locals as it lacked the authenticity of the Indian foods - Spices. I am not saying it was not good, it just lacked what my taste buds needed at that time. I would surely recommend the place to everyone though.
The restaurant is in the end of a shopping-center row sort of on the back side of Target so it's a bit hard to see. It is however, well worth trying. I've now eaten here about a dozen times, first visiting for a friend's party (they have a great large dining area in the back and can easily handle large-ish groups of say 25 or so at one long table) and more often visiting for an excellent lunch buffet. In general the flavors are a bit muted compared to those foods I sampled in India, more Northern style I believe.I particularly like their vindaloo dishes which will provide a level of heat and flavors that make you say "Oh yeah!"
This place is delicious! Go for dinner in the back room...great atmosphere. Can't wait to visit Atlanta again so I can eat here again!
Really good lunch buffet. I haven't tried a lot of other Indian restaurants but I really like the buffet.
Good Lunch Buffet. I finally had the opportunity to try this place out for lunch. A friend of mine had been telling me about it for a while now. The decor is nice, without being over the top and the staff was very friendly.
As for the buffet, it was one of the better Indian lunch buffets I have been too, but not quite the best. Still, it probably makes the top 3. It has a rather large selection of food (at least compared to what I'm used to). This was nice because I was able to fill up two plates with completely different food both times, including rice. There was Chicken Tikka Masala, Tandoori Chicken, and that was it for what I could tell you the name of... sorry. There was a slightly spicy cauliflower medley, these green fried football shaped things (filled with chickpeas?) that were absolutely delicious, and a few different choices of sauces to cover your basmati or chicken biryani rice with. All of it was pretty good; not a single item I had was bad.
I wish I could make it here more often for the lunch buffet, but I definitely will be trying it out for dinner sometime. I have also had the pleasure of trying the cheese naan at a friend's house and was blow away; best cheese naan ever! I highly recommend this place for their friendly staff and good lunch buffet at a reasonable price.
One of the best. This place has to have the best Indian that I've tasted in a really long time. We stopped by on a Saturday night around 6 p.m. It wasn't packed, but there weren't many open tables either. We managed to get a 2 top fairly quickly.
We ordered the Vegetable Dinner For Two. It consisted of Vegetable Samosa (large and perfectly spiced), Navrattan Korma (vegetables in a semi-sweet coconut milk sauce), Palak Paneer (homemade Indian cheese in spinach), rice, 2 huge pieces of naan, and a dessert (Kheer, or Indian-style rice pudding). There wasn't anything that we couldn't say we loved. It was all too good.
Things we especially liked: the rice (lots of flavor and we had never had Indian basmati rice with carrots in it before--too good!), the paneer (some of the best with just the right amount of bite to it), the promptness of service (our water glasses never got more than halfway empty), and the friendliness of service (everyone was very nice and the owner stopped by our table a few times to ask how we liked it). Even the price was pretty nice for the amount of food we got.
One small thing: their mild is a bit warmer than some other Indian restaurants, so I'm not quite sure how that correlates to the heat level on medium or hot.
All in all, the manager said they had called the best Indian restaurant in the Southeastern US... and I don't think he was bragging. This place is going to be a frequent stopping point for me.
Good, but not great. Have had better in every regard, but still a decent option for lunch buffett.
What a great experience I visited with a friend and we chose the dinner for 2 non vegetarian it was excellent. The service was great we were greeted as soon as we walked in by a friendly server shown to our table and the great service lasted throughout our stay. I will definitely recommend this restaurant to my friends coworkers and of course to anyone that wants great Indian food
Best indian buffet inside the perimeter. Wide selection, good array of condiments, very popular.
LOVE!! Best Indian in metro area. The bonus is you can't beat the prices!
Chicken tikka masala. Best Indian food I have had in Atlanta. Reminds me of my favorite place in Houston (Shiva). I am not Indian so I can't comment on authenticity. But I had chicken tikka masala, rice, and naan and was very happy with it for about $16.
Definitely the best Indian buffet inside the perimeter. Great deal for all the great food you can choose from. So tasty. I don't usually go for buffets, but I'll bend my rules for this one.
They are always friendly at Cafe Bombay...my four-year old gets lots of attention. The buffet is great - especially for newbies to Indian...good variety and both spicy and non-spicy options.
Great Service, Great Food. It's the best Indian in Atlanta.

I stepped in the door. I could just tell by the scent in the air as soon as I opened the door, that this food was going to be delicious, and I definitely was not disappointed. We were there for the lunch buffet, and let me tell you, this is the biggest indian buffet I’d ever seen (and I’ve been to quite a few). We all know, however, that bigger does not necessarily mean better, but Cafe Bombay definitely knows what they’re doing. They don’t sacrifice quality for quantity even in the least.
Huge portions with lots of flavor. I ordered delivery and we received so much food. We tried saag chicken, butter chicken, samosas, naan and basmati rice. Everything was fresh, hot and delicious!
The buffet was excellent! Everything was seasoned well. A little on the spicy side which I liked. Lots of customers...
However, the floor carpet (extremely sticky) and decorations (curtains, furnishings, lighting, restrooms, ect) needs to be replaced/remodeled. They have a wonderful outside patio sitting area.
Husband and I will definitely be back for the food.
Visited this place after a while. Definitely the best Indian lunch buffet in greater Atlanta area. Professional staff member, relaxing environment, and high quality dishes. All the foods are made of fresh ingredients and high quality material. The lunch buffet costs $15 which makes that experience even more enjoyable:)
My favorite is butter chicken and Naan. All are delicious!
Recommended.
Solid place for some staple dishes. The dining room is lovely. Service was excellent, very attentive. There is plenty of parking.
We started with the complimentary papadum (thin flatbread / crackers), vegetable samosas and bhel puri. All were great, and the bhel puri was refreshing.
For main, we got the garlic naan, laacha paratha, vegetable biriyani, chicken tikka masala, and lamb vindaloo. Everything was good. Forewarning, the biriyani has a spicy kick and the lamb vindaloo has a strong gamey taste.
Great ambience for the family or group setting. Went on a Saturday night and there was belly dancing with kids dancing to colorful ribbons. Nice lounge feel and spacious. Food options are plentiful and tasty as well as cooked to your liking. You get order to your spice desire and it is blended into the intent of the dish - not an add on. Explore the menu and done it for a good experience.
I’ve been here twice and both experiences were great!
The food is absolutely amazing!! Especially the garlic naan. I went with my mother for Valentine’s Day and I got makhani(butter chicken) and garlic naan. It was my first time trying this and it was delicious!! I was so excited to try it and I was not let down! The service is very lovely. Everyone is kind and always checking on you to see if you are comfortable with your dish(es). I plan to come here much more in the future :)
I like the fact that there is no waiting time! The place is large and can accommodate plenty of people. We went on Sunday for a brunch and tried the buffet. The food was good, they gave both vegetarian dishes and also meat dishes.
Very good; will certainly go back

For lunch I ordered the butter chicken, goat biryani, Bombay mixed grill, palak paneer, garlic naan, and gulab jamun. This was my first time eating authentic Indian food. Believe me when I say that the food was delicious. I enjoyed everything. My favorite was the Bombay mixed grill. All of the meats tasted great. I will definitely try this restaurant again and I highly recommend it.
Context:
After a long, hot day of exploring Vancouver my family and I wanted to get a solid meal before heading to the airport for a late flight.
Service:
Great. The staff was friendly and super helpful with ordering. They also checked in on us a couple of times.
Food:
Outstanding! This was one of the best Indian meals I have had in a while. My son and I got tandoori chicken (it came out steaming hot crispy and spicy). My daughter and wife got butter chicken - super creamy, flavorful and delicious. We also got four (yes four) orders of naan (two regular and two garlic). It was warm, crispy and soft (crispy outside and bottom - soft interior. My daughter gave the food a 10 out of 10.
Atmosphere:
Nice but casual? You can see the kitchen from the dining room. I personally love that - you see, hear and smell all of the delicious food being cooked.
Overall:
A great place to eat and highly recommended!
This is a great place to get Indian food, always has been. Glad they still do the buffet. It's usually always the same there's not crazy variety. But it hits the spot.. anyways buffets are rare these days. Place definitely needs a facelift. Staff is okay, attentive but never really friendly. Quick service though good food normal prices.
Everything we tried was really good. We enjoyed this food today. We will come back and 100% recommend
