I really enjoyed our experience here-- the food was delicious and I think everything was reasonably priced for what we got.
They brought out some fresh pickles as an appetizer complimentary (delicious!!)
Their hot and sour soup was awesome, and we also tried: 3 cups chicken (we got two orders but could have just done one), Eggplant in garlic sauce with pork, String beans with pork, Hakka stir fry (very good!), and Lo mein with chicken.
We also tried one of their hot teas! I think it was chrysanthemum tea, and they brought out rock sugar to go with it (which was awesome!)
My mom doesn't care for Chinese food, so she wasn't wild about these dishes. I believe this restaurant is technically Taiwanese, but their food is still essentially Chinese vibes. The rest of us loved all of the dishes and we barely had leftovers!

Located on Asian Square off of Buford Highway in Doraville. This place was a pleasant surprise. It is Taiwanese cusine. The service was good and the food was flavorful too! The setting is cozy with wood benches along the wall. They offer cushions, but those could use a good washing, so it was the wooden bench for us. I ordered the stir fry pork belly and squid with bean curds. Its was pretty tasty and well proportioned. My lady had the 3 cup chicken which was really good as well. Kind of like a generals chicken but not as sweet and nice and crispy. The server was pleasant and friendly. She was helpful with the menu, patient and pleasant. She checked on us often and made sure we always had water. The pricing is also very reasonable and worth every penny. I would definitely recommend La Mei Zi. We will be back to explore the other menu offerings.

Great place for Taiwanese food! Wish the salt and pepper shrimp was made with head on but was still good. Chicken dishes were good as well. Service is nice and fast

My wife’s colleague had recommended this place and sure it met our expectations. The restaurant wasn’t very busy since it was Friday evening on a rainy day. We ordered vegetable hot pot 🍲 and chef’s special - Hakka stir fry pork belly, calamari, bean curd, Chinese chive flower and Taiwanese stir fry rice noodles.
All the dishes had distinct taste and flavor profiles. We enjoyed our dinner and will return to try out other dishes.

I was greeted as soon as I walked in. The staff was very friendly & attentive. I ordered via ChowBus and they went to the kitchen to check on my order. I used the restroom while waiting & it was very clean. The three cups chicken with white rice was good. The wontons in hot sichuan sauce were spicy & very oily but tasted good. I really liked the spring rolls and the dipping sauce was amazing. Would definitely eat here again. The inside dining area was large and very nicely decorated.

Food here is very good. Not your typical americanized chinese food. Good selection of authentic dishes mixed with some typical dishes like Generals Chicken. Love the salt and pepper fried chicken and Ma Pao Tofu.

Delicious wontons with chili sauce, best I’ve ever had actually. Combination fried rice. I don’t eat red meat, so I ordered 3 cup chicken which tasted close to pork belly, in my opinion, amazing! 3 types of mushroom with vegetables, this was probably my favorite, it was just so good, very well seasoned, so much flavor.
(It’s hard to find a restaurant who cooks their vegetables and gives them as much depth in flavor as they do their main dishes ) Specially for those of us that enjoy vegetables more…
They cooked them with a lot of love and lovely fresh herbs.
Tried the hot and sour soup, it was a little strong for my taste so I ate it while eating the rest of the food. Very good! Every time I go to an Asian restaurant I have to order bok Choi, it was so juicy and crunchy. I could eat all of it by myself. And lastly the person I came with ordered pork with tofu, it got really good reviews also.
Super friendly staff, very knowledgeable and attentive to me, specially catering to my food allergies. Will be back 🔜 ❤️

We went for lunch and it was delicious. The staff was so nice. We ordered Thai tea, black milk tea, passion fruit green tea, three cup chicken, chicken lomein, double cooked sliced pork and fried bread roll with condensed milk.

They are located at the very last corner of the Asian Square. Food is excellent. Had the 3 cup chicken - it flashed fried chicken coated with sauce in a clay pot. Also ordered the green beans and the cold beef tendon. Both were excellent. Came here on a Saturday night just after 6pm, and got one of the last tables. They get busy on the weekend so expect a wait.

Great place for Taiwanese food. Very flavorful dishes with good portions. Meat was savory and tender. Would come back again!

Ordered pick up over the phone. The lady was very nice and verified that my order was correct. Once we got there our food was hot and ready! Usually the numbing and spicy options are very spicy but this time it was not as spicy as it usually was. But it all still tasted very good. The fish was a bit on the salty side but went well with the rice. My bf really enjoyed the sesame chicken. Each entree came with a container of white rice.

Best Chinese food in the Atlanta area. My favorites are its Spicy Sliced Beef Sichuan Style, Spicy Mapo Tofu, Spicy popcorn chicken, fish-flavored eggplant, Basil Shrimp and Calamari

There is plenty of parking spots so no parking issues. The place is small, but welcoming. The staff is friendly and attentive. The food was amazing, the 3 cups chicken is a must to get. Overall 10/10 place.

Great Taiwanese food in the Asian square shopping center. Everything here is great and the food comes out very fast. The service is great and the staff are all wearing masks. Large restaurant with lots of seating. The salt and pepper tofu is probably the best I have had in Atlanta.

Our favorite Chinese restaurant Chef Liu closed so we gave this a shot. Not bad at all, just could’ve ordered better. The best thing was the sesame chicken and the Young chow fried rice. Cucumber for free was great. Springs rolls next and then the salt and pepper pork chop that was a little dry and needed seasoning. The scallion pancake wasn’t what I was expecting in the fried and delicious sense. It was more like a scallion toasted tortilla.
We’ll give it another go with different items. Really want to try the lunch buffet next time we’re in town as it’s only on the weekends and is from 11-2 I believe.
Owner was extremely kind and generous. Loved speaking with them and learning about the restaurants history and where they’re from including the staff which is Taiwan!!

One of the best Taiwanese restaurants I’ve ever been to! This place is a little hidden gem, owned and operated by two sisters from Taiwan, from what I understand. Great food and service. My favorite dishes are their Hot n’ Sour soup, three cups chicken, and Singapore noodle! Tonight we tried their Double sliced pork, it was good just not our favorite in comparison to the others. Highly recommend this place, a must try! See images ...

My wife and I visited La Mei Zi in Doraville for the first time for dinner. Our mutual friend told us about this place and we were super excited to try their food. The restaurant wasn’t busy since it was Monday afternoon. We ordered Three Cup Chicken and Taiwanese Salt & Pepper Chicken with Basil.
Both were seasoned to perfection and very much enjoyed our dinner there. The customer service was very good too - refilled timely, to-go box, and check. We will be back soon to try some other dishes.
