Gladys Knight's Chicken & Waffles Concepts

This was the first stop I made when I got in town. Had to wait a bit to be seated which was expected on a Sunday. The service was fantastic from our server. Jimmie was the man. He accommodated us no matter what we requested. The food was wonderful and I must say the Lemon Pepper chicken was delicious. The best thing I had however was the peach cobbler. It's probably to die for. Definitely eat here. Only bad thing I would say was that my table was wobbly. Other than that it was a great dining experience.

Showed up around 9:30 thinking they'd be open for breakfast - should've looked at the times before doing so. Came back around opening time and there was already a line which seemed like a good sign. Loved the interior/decor and our waiter was really friendly. The chicken was hot, juicy, crisp - the waffle was a little bland and I personally would've liked it just a little crisp on the outside and fluffy and soft on the inside.

Although I came her late after leaving wet willies :) I will say that the food was so delicious and we had very fast service. The next time I visit I will come earlier in day to enjoy my food and I will get the Midnight Train!!! I got the saute'd shrimp and grits and a waffle. I was expecting the shrimp and grits to be like grits with shrimp on top with the bacon and scallions like its usually done . But, I will say I was very please with how well seasoned the shrimp was and the waffles are delicious. Get the Lemonade!!! Only downside is the $10 parking!

Somewhat of a long line but the last time we were in Atlanta we skipped it due to the line so this time we waited 45 minutes, better to go during non main meal times would be my guess. After reading some reviews I was afraid it would be overrated but I'm glad I was wrong! Everyone at the table ended up getting the chicken and waffles and it was GREAT! I would recommend this place to everyone just dont wait outside for 45 minutes! For dessert we ended up getting one slice of the sweet potato cheesecake and 1 peach cobbler, my wife loved the cobbler and I loved the cheesecake. I would go back for sure!

Wow!!! Food was awesome!!! Everything we got was great. Chicken wings and waffles were wonderful. Waffles were sweet and melted in your mouth. Chicken wing meat fell off the bone and the skin was fried perfectly. The mac and cheese was phenomenal...even the kids thought so and they r picky about m & c. Had fried green tomato's and collard green spring rolls for apps...really good. Sweet tea was great too. I ate nothing that was not top notch. Having said that...we went on Father's day for dinner. Only waited 35 min. service could have been better but I could tell that the waitress was tired after working all day on the holiday. She was good and very nice but slow and didn't check up on us as you would expect but again they were over booked all day I am sure. I thought price was fine for what you got and the quality of the taste. I would go back in a heart beat!!! The surrounding neighborhood was sketchy I wouldn't go with kids after dark but a must if you want to eat well in Hotlanta!!!
