Great service and great food. Had veggie fried rice with asparagus in it which was new to me and very pleasantly surprising! Rolls were delicious and filling. We are not drinkers, but half price wine on Thursday seems to be a lovely bonus people would enjoy. I'd definitely recommend to anyone who enjoys sushi.

Went on Wednesday when the sushi is half off and that was about what I'd expect to pay for sushi .... so it would be too expensive if it wasn't for the half off deal.

For a party of 5 they automatically added the 18% gratuity to the bill; I didn't like that at all.

Great customer service from waiter and host. It gets very busy during the lunch rush, but our food still came quickly. Pork belly ramen noodles were very soft, but the flavor was amazing. Portions for other foods are well worth the price, and the atmosphere is nice as well. Would eat here again.

We had dinner here and i understood from one od colleage from japan that the suhsi was really good and authentic. Now i dont eat fish so i had something else but also that was very good. Defitnly a good place to eat.

The staff here are EXCELLENT, and the food is even better! If you're not sure what to get, trust the staff to help you find something wonderful for your taste preferences. The atmosphere is fun and upbeat, but still classy for a business meeting or romantic night out. Parking is primarily right out front and readily available during the week. They do take reservations. Also, Wednesdays is 50% off most of the food menu, with 50% wine on Thursdays!

We are frequent fliers at the Kennesaw location, but we wanted to check out the newest location for our anniversary dinner. Our server Lauren was great! She was nice and helpful, and she never rushed us even when we were slow to order. This location is completely different from the more upscale decor to the more refined food. We still love the Kennesaw location, but this was a great place to come for a night out in Atlanta.

Really good sushi. Fantastic toro, but no o-toro at the time I visited. All the food we got was good but the sushi was the highlight. I would definitely be okay with returning here. The ambiance was nice, decor decent, and it was quiet enough to hold a conversation with our large group desire being a busy evening.

It's was a fabulous experience from drinks and snacks at the bar to sitting down to dinner and getting some amazing sushi. The rolls we got were actually large enough to be a meal rather than a snack.

Great atmosphere for a date or dinner with the ladies. I think Kuroshio has the best Sushi in Atlanta. I was there twice last week. Also the patio is a good spot to people watch catch a good breeze.

I dropped by the Kuroshio Midtown Sushi and Lounge location last friday for lunch, as this recommendation came in high regard so I tried it.
I must say the ambience is amazing, they were very busy during lunch, but I was greeted immediately and sat at the sushi bar. The server 'Hansel' came over gave me a menu to look over while I looked over the food selection.
I decided after a recommendation from him to try the salmon and vegetables fried rice and it was absolutely delicious! The salmon wasn't dry and the portion size of salmon to rice was plentiful, my plate was large enough to share with 3 people I'm not kidding.
I didn't have a adult beverage or any sushi this time but from the dishes and cocktails zooming by me, it all looked delicious and tasty. And what I enjoyed the most is that everything is made fresh to order.
I will definitely be back soon to check out their sushi and cocktails. I would highly recommend this restaurant.

We went to Kuroshio for my best friends bachelorette weekend. Service was extremely quick and we were seated as soon as we arrived. We visited 5+ years ago when in Georgia and wanted to come back for sushi. Hansel was our server. He was the best, giving great recommendations, bringing cake to help the bride to be celebrate and even taking pictures up front of our group. Thoroughly enjoyed our time there. Next time we are in town we will return.

My wife and I came here for years when it was "STEEL". We rather enjoyed it, but we never could really get over the fact that it is slightly more expensive than other restaurants that offer as good, and if not better, Asian fusion options. When the Kuroshio franchise seamlessly took over for this particular location, we were excited to see what might end up changing.
What we learned was that very little has changed other than the name. The menu looks largely the same and the prices are sadly still the same. We do enjoy the meals there, and the food is almost always "very good", but we almost always go there with some sort of special or discount being involved. The sushi is definitely good, the Japanese Hot Rock dish is awesome, and their crispy beef is certainly a menu highlight.
Sometimes the service is lacking as well... now, I will say they have (unprovoked) provided us with a complimentary edamame dish due to issues with service, so there is a silver lining here, but the service needs to be attentive from the start of the meal and not just trying to make up for a mistake or an oversight.
I will say that Kuroshio is better (in almost all ways) than Ra Sushi. And I will say that the ambiance at Kuroshio is modern and aesthetically pleasing. I believe they will have a tough time competing with places like Pho King and Babalu opening up, but if you are looking for something unique and somewhat higher-end, Kuroshio is an adequate choice.

Anyone who gives aways free food and drinks at a grand opening is definitely worth checking out once. However, you will go back often! Enjoy !

This place is so nice! The interior is very beautiful and service was good. The sushi is BOMB!! I had sushi from Alaska (which is a hop away from Japan) and it is definitely competing with this place. Definitely great for a date night or just a night out with your people! Highly recommend getting the yellowtail and flying fish roe. Also try the big daddy or beauty and the beast specialty roll.
