This is a true hidden gem, and was honestly one of the most pleasant food experiences of my life. It's an unpretentious hole-in-the-wall type of place, but the food is incredible and the service impeccable. The owner is very personable and regaled us throughout our meal with the story of how he fell in love with middle eastern cuisine when he converted to Islam as a teen, then went on to travel and experience a myriad of other cuisines, and now prepares them all in his restaurant in addition to the usual halal fare. We just had the chicken shawarma and hummus, but it put to shame even the best of our local halal joints. I can't wait to go back to Atlanta mostly so I can experience this place again. Do not miss it.
We make a point of stopping in every time we make it to Atlanta which is only 2 or 3 times a year, but we have never been disappointed. The staff is super friendly and the shawarma sandwiches are my favorite.
I had amazing experience at this place. The vibrant atmosphere, coupled with the flavorful dishes, made for an exceptional dining experience. The attentive staff and the authenticity of the Mediterranean cuisine truly set this place apart. I highly recommend trying their shawarma—it's a culinary delight. Overall, a five-star gem in the heart of Atlanta! They serve Halal meat.
Tucked away on Walton Street, this little gem of a restaurant downtown disappoint. My friend and I dropped in on a rainy Sunday and were treated to the best shawarma I've had in a while. Abdul the owner seems genuinely thrilled to greet his customers and dropped by our table for a quick chat. Highly recommend if you are scavenging for food on a Sunday in Atlanta.
The atmosphere was alright, we had just gone in minutes after it had opened. It was very quiet.
My first time there, the food was delicious! I ordered a Lamb Gyro (in silver foil) and my sister ordered a chicken shawarma. Very filling! Will come back!
We came here after visiting the aquarium and it was such a great experience.
The food was SO delicious, huge portions for a great price! We loved chatting with the owner. He was so kind and friendly. I love going into a place that makes you feel right at home.
The vibe here is friendly. Everything we ate was delicious. Very authentic! The banana pudding reminded me of my grandmothers, which was a fantastic surprise.
I got the gyro plate and it's delicious. I'm in Atlanta for work; if I lived here I would visit weekly. Reasonably priced, very tasty, and you can tell the folks who work here love the food and community they serve. The strawberry smoothie was a tasty splurge. My only regret is not ordering extra sauce!
May not look like much, but it’s the absolute perfect place to stop by for lunch. Little amount of seating, but it fits the place. Restrooms are available. Little parking, so walk if you can. Food comes fast, is a large portion, and yummy. A amazing place for a bite to eat.
Excellent food! Went during Thanksgiving and thankfully they were open, everything else was closed on that day. The food was really good. Ordered a chicken jumbo and it tasted great. The owner/staff are also friendly. They ask you if you want your food to be American spicy, Medium, or Indian spicy. Thought that was funny 😂
✅ Recommend: The lamb gyro wrap was great! The lamb was infused with a medley of aromatic herbs and spices, which added depth and complexity to the meat. The succulent lamb was perfectly seasoned, offering a savory and slightly tangy taste that complemented the freshness of the accompanying vegetables and creamy tzatziki sauce.
😕 Environment: However, when I visited, the air conditioning was not functioning, resulting in poor indoor air quality. It was unfortunate that the lack of AC affected the overall experience. Nonetheless, the owner was friendly despite the discomfort caused by the temperature. Hopefully, they will resolve the issue with the AC for a more enjoyable atmosphere in the future.
This is the best shawarma I've ever had. And great service. I'd gladly come back to Atlanta for this place alone.
