You can find this location of Nam Phuong at 4051 Buford Hwy NE, Ste A, Atlanta, GA 30345- this was previously the location of the exceptional Pho #1 sharing the same limited parking - careful that you don't block the other end (near the Asian grocer). I was a bit hesitant to try Nam Phuong for quite a while as I had a hard time reconciling the changeover from Pho #1, one of my favorite Vietnamese restaurants. I finally broke down and found that if anything, Nam Phuong is even better! The pho here is top-notch with the rich broth you would expect from the better pho restaurants. What's remarkable is that the menu is extensive and full of delicious items - this has become my new go-to restaurant for pho and Vietnamese, it's just that good and consistent.
Good pho, friendly service, and very reasonable prices. The restaurant was very busy, which was a good sign. Seating took about 5 minutes, but was worth the wait.
This restaurant is part of the "Buford Highway Hop" that my friend came up with. This included Pho at Nam Phuong, hot tea from White Wind Mill and then reflexology at Treat Your Feet.
I love Pho and this place offers a great selection of options at a great price.
We were recommended Nam by a local Vietnamese friend. The steamed spring rolls were good with the peanut sauce.
The chicken Pho was disappointing. The broth and noodles had a great flavor but unfortunately the chicken was tough and rubbery. My friend had the shaking beef which she really enjoyed but found the rice salty.
GREAT! Completely authentic. More than Pho but the Pho is amazing. Incredible service, nice atmosphere. Wish we lived closer to eat here often!
Want Authentic Vietnamese? Go here. Don't be fooled by americanized try-hard places like Saigon Cafe...and don't be fooled by preconceptions that Vietnamese food consist of Phở and only Phở. If you want real delicious Vietnamese food, Nam Phuong is the place to go. Like any Vietnamese restaurants, the orders are cook very quickly, and they have anything you can find on a traditional Vietnamese dinner table. Trust me, I'm vietnamese
After years of many sad cha gio, I’ve finally found a version worthy of the indulgence. Instead of being tough and greasy, these spring rolls are light and flaky with juicy ground-pork interiors. Within the menu’s “street food” section are specialties not often found in our many pho parlors, including immense crepes (banh xeo) made with rice flour, water and turmeric powder, then fried and filled with shrimp, slices of roast pork and mounds of bea
We absolutely love this place. We used to come here on the weekends and bring friends with us when we lived in Atlanta. We came back to Atlanta for the holidays and this was on top of our list. Luckily it has not changed food quality wise. The atmosphere is old school. The service a bit spotty. BUT as long as the food stays the same, we'll always come back.
Fabulous value for the money, comfortable setting and wonderful service at this spot!
Cannot wait to come back and try more items from the menu.
Will absolutely be reordering the salt & pepper shrimp 🤤 & the spring rolls are a steal- less than $5 for two huge rolls.
Parking lot was full so we parked on the nearby side street.
Definitely a MUST TRY on Buford Highway.
Exceptional Authentic Experience! While I am not from Vietnam, I eat Vietnamese food daily, and my parents would never bring me to a restaurant unless they cooked it better than themselves.
Nam Phuong is an exceptional authentic experience for those who want to try something other than your typical Pho place. They offer many, many harder to find Vietnamese dishes such as Banh Canh, Bot Chien, Chim Cut. I have been eating at this restaurant (of 2 in Atlanta) for most of my life, and they are fabulous in their options. However, I give a 4 stars in the food because some dishes are unfortunately a miss as in the Banh Canh Cua and the Chim Cut on this day. Too little crab and anorexic birds respectively. Some dishes are just not as good on some days, I figure.
If you are not Vietnamese, I do recommend ordering the Bot Chien (fried dough street dish), and Do bien rang muoi (salt and pepper seafood). These are my favorite dishes from one of my favorite vietnamese restaurants from the surrounding states. And believe me, if I drive 3 hours to Atlanta, I will be stopping in one of the Vietnamese restaurants, run by the Viets, for the Viets.
5/14 Mother's Day Madness; Good food though. Parking is a challenge. Service good. Large menu selection - I left wanting more...
9/5. Labor Day. Made it back. I had my eye on the cabbage chicken salad, paired with egg noodle soup Excellent combo. Fresh. Flavorful. We found our frequent go-to meal. Walked away full and very satisfied for $30 plus tip.
Definitely a surprise visiting Atlanta a friend took us here bit small less than 5 minutes of a wait worth every minute portions are huge some many different flavors look over menu online before you go so many choices

There are a lot of Vietnamese options on Buford Highway but this is the best by a long mile. It’s very difficult to find authentic Vietnamese food that has all of the options I loved growing up, well Nam Phuong certainly had it all covered. This is now our go-to Vietnamese spot and there’s no other question.
Loads of vegan and vegetarian options too.
One of the best Vietnamese restaurant in ATL.
Their Pho is average, but they have a lot of awesome Vietnamese dishes.
We always come here and order the banh hoi which is the spring roll for two. That comes with shrimp, pork, beef and many different vegetables, then you just make your own spring roll!! Healthy and delicious!!
The dice cut steak is very flavorful.
We always order salt and pepper squid too
they do get pretty busy and the parking can be pretty hard so make sure you go earlier especially on weekends
We decided to try this place as it was on our list for a while and we regretted not going sooner!
This was our first Vietnamese restaurant we tried and it was very very good!
Loved the family style menu options so we know we will come back with a group for sure but our food was all great which included: (rating in parenthesis)
-shaking beef w/ fried rice: 🔥 5/5
-seafood Pha- ✅ 4/5
- cubed fried rice - ✅4/5
-Egg Rolls: 3.5/5 (they weren’t bad but forgot to assume that if a meat isn’t listed that it’s likely pork and usually don’t eat it but it was good for the unexpected)
Recommend this place for everyone to try
Mousse shrimp ball and bbq pork slaps, lots of veggies! ❤️ Make ur own roll. If u like playing with food, this is for u.
Packed on a Thursday night. Rice dish was good. Liked the beef. I finished the whole dish haha. This restaurant (this location) is on Michelin Guide now.
