I love Lees and have been coming here for 4 years. Its consistent, yummy and a homey environment. The coffee is the best coffee. I like it hot but the iced is good too. I usually get the tofu banh mi and my hubs gets a chargrilled pork bahn me. We also get lc3 the vegan pho and meat pho. Yum.
I stumbled across it while using the coin laundromat next door. It surprised me because I thought it was a bakery but far from it. It is a Vietnamese restaurant and I never tried one before so while I'm waiting on my clothes I went in. It was so awesome the staff was working really hard to accommodate the guests and the food tasted so fresh. My sandwich was crunchy and soft toasted bread and my beef Pho was also delicious and fresh. It didn't have a distinct taste to it but I think it's made that way so it won't overwhelm certain people taste buds but I liked it and I will definitely be back again.
First bahn mi experience. Loved it! Had the Le combo. Great spring rolls and egg rolls.
Atmospheres pretty simple and basic. Food is good. I ordered a number 32. Definitely delicious price appropriately for other joints of this nature in the area.
Lee’s Bakery never disappoints with its delicious pho and banh mi. The atmosphere is nice, and the staff is very friendly. The pho is delicious, and it has lots of tender beef. The banh mi sandwiches are so good. The bread is toasted to perfection, and the pork is just fantastic. The sandwich is always filled to the brim with the incredible pork. There is a combo for a great price that comes with a full bowl of pho and half a sandwich that always leaves me stuffed. If you’re in the area, don’t miss out on this delicious spot!
A classic OG spot for Viet Banh Mi and soups! The bakery is usually packed with customers dining in and take out. I like that they do a few combos with half banh mi and pho. The restaurant itself has decent seating.
Purely food based review:
Bun Riêu - Tomato Crab soup is super underrated. Great in the mornings or for lunch. Flavorful and they don't skimp on the crab meat!
Combo Banh Mi - Pretty good standard sandwich from them. Their bread is always crispy and filling is packed inside.
Pho - Pretty average I'd say. Good if you're just craving a side but I think their other soups and breads are the star of the show.
I had the combo rare beef pho and half sandwich. I was happy to see that option so I wouldn’t have to miss out on one or the other. The beef pho was delicious, tender and flavorful! Best of all, the chicken banh mi was mouth watering. I added a fried egg to mine and the blend of textures - soft, crispy bread + warm chicken + moist egg created a wonderful banh mi experience. I ended the meal with a nice jasmine tea. I will be back!
THE most incredible pho and banh mi’s in the South. I’ve tried dozens of other restaurants in several different states and still none of them hold a candle to Lee’s Bakery. I’ve been coming here since I was in college 5 years ago. I will always stop when I’m in the area. Perfect broth, always generous with the shrimp servings, the best bread; I can seriously never stop recommending this place. Mr. Lee is also a very kind and friendly host, he is always striking up a chat when he’s in the restaurant. You will never regret eating here!!
10/10 recommend the shrimp noodle soup. I literally had it two days in a row and it was so good and fresh both times. The large portion is enough for two people.
Discovered this gem! 3 yr search in Atlanta to find a veg BahnMi as tasty as in Ft. Meyers. Elusive tofu BahnMi & tofu basil roll 🥲. The fresh baked bun & subtle daikon/carrot pickle elevates the sandwich. We've been coming weekly & even brought guests from out of state. So, it was a nice surprise when Mr. Lee stopped by our table to say hi. He shared many stories & pics about the history of the restaurant!
This is my favorite place to eat! Its a little hole in the wall located on Buford Highway. Good service. Its deserving of the hype it gets. Their banh mi sandwiches are bomb and I haven’t had better. (You know it’s good when you can buy their loaves of bread🥖) I get the tofu and avocado which are great options for vegetarians. The pho is also good and filling. I’m a big fan of their smoothies and recommend their taro flavor.
Don't let the unassuming area it's in fool you. This food was very tasty and didn't break the bank. The pork bbq banh mi was delicious 😋 and the bread was fresh. My kids split the combo and had pho and half of a chicken banh mi. Perfect size for them to share! Someone else had the lemongrass chicken rice plate and they loved it too. Give it a try!
