I'd been wanting to try this place for years. Finally, I got the opportunity to and it definitely didn't disappoint. I had the brisket, polish sausage and red beans and rice. Everything was served hot, smokey, tender and full of flavor. It's not fancy-schmancy as far as the decor but they serve great BBQ and the prices are very reasonable. I'll definitely be back.

Nice place. Staff friendly. Ordered potato salad & was glad to find the potatoes firm. The food could use more seasoning. The ribs, for example. I chose the hot sauce but they weren't very hot.

The atmosphere goes with the neighborhood. May be off putting to some. Best BBQ we have ever had! The cornbread is unlike anything we have ever had, AWESOME! Fresh lemonade! Not fancy but oh so good! Sometimes the band is here playing Jazz. They are fabulous!!!

Not the worst not the best. When your reference is Texas BBQ, it is really hard to find better one especially on the east coast. Sides are amazing, corn bread is the best!

Soul food for an old soul! Have you ever feel like you’ve found just what you were searching for? This is the spot for bbq and ribs. The definition of comfort food. After eating here I felt so content and full. The food isn’t overly greasy as you’re loath to find in a lot of places. The wait staff is nice and the prices are very affordable. The only thing I would say is it’s a bit hard to get to, but that’s really their fault.

It is a staple in Atlanta, multiple awards for the delicious food. If you can get past the questionable look of the place. It's not a place you go for aesthetics. The pulled pork was delicious, as well as the Brunswick stew. I did not regret going. The staff were courteous and we did not have to wait long for the food. I plan to go back!

Daddy D’z is one of those local gems that you ensure to always stop at when you’re in the area. The visual esthetic of the location has a down home juke joint type of feel, however, as captivating as it is… you don’t come for the looks. I decided to get the Rib Tips Dinner with Red Beans and Rice, Candied Yams, and Cornbread. First off, I don’t know who was in the back making this cornbread, however, this moist, perfectly sweet, golden brown bite of perfection set the tone for the entire meal. Yes! I’m one of those who eats the cornbread first. Ha! The Rib Tips were super meaty, perfectly smoked, and tender to the touch. I paired them with the spicy BBQ sauce which added an enjoyable layer of flavor to the overall natural pork flavor profile and added seasoning rub. All I know is these tips were incredible. Both of my sides were good. The yams had the homemade southern taste, where the red beans and rice provided a traditional creole flavoring with an added smokiness from the sausage. To round it off I decided to try the Sweet Tea and babeeeeeeeeeee. Whoever’s grandmother made this sweet tea is truly a legend. I’m talking sweet and yea as it should be. Don’t judge me but I had to get a refill. LoL. I truly enjoyed my stop at Daddy D’z and will always stop by when I’m in the area. If you’re near or in the mood for some great BBQ and willing to head to the city, add this to your Must Try list!!!

I'm not a pork fan, so no comments 😆. But if you love brisket and crave those juicy slices!, man Daddy D'z is the place. Brisket sandwiches are always the best and seasoned. Thick too!. Just ask for extra bbq sauce, and you're good to go.
