It’s a great experience. The ambiance is very welcoming and charming. The drinks were good and the service was stellar. We love the food, we just wish they have more selections.

So last min some friends and I decided to go here and after making reservations, we were not disappointed. The calamari was amazing. It was big enough serving to share. I had a drink, Just in Thyme. Different from my regular taste but worth it. I finished my meal off with the Georgia Peach Tart. I didn't taste much peach but could see them. It was still delicious! Great experience, I will be back.

The staff was attentive, the knew their menu! The food was spectacular. What a gorgeous venue. We went for drinks and appetizers but I know I’ll be back for dinner!!!!!

The Intercontinental Hotel is beautiful. We have been there on Friday night when they have a Jazz band. The cocktails and food are good.

Well stocked bar with a very wide range of bourbon, rye and whiskeys. Great cocktails as well. From well known brands to artisanal and single barrel bourbons with a variety of finger food.

Had breakfast here on a Sunday morning in late April. Decor was neat, service was quick and fairly attentive. Felt well spaced, not too crowded so even sitting inside I wasn't concerned about the virus. Honestly my gripe about Southern Art and Bourbon Bar was that the food was just...average? The bacon was fine. The croissant was decent. The latte was...OK. The eggs were not bad. It was all just very average and that's perfectly fine or even good if I'm going to IHOP or Cracker Barrel, but based on what I read and the way this place presents itself, I expected more. The menu was also very limited. I've had more selection on a hotel room service menu.

Chicken was ok, brussell sprouts were really good!

The food was delicious. I ordered the carbonara pasta. It was creamy and flavorful! The fried chicken was juicy and amazing. The cocktails from the bourbon bar were yummy as well. I ordered a drink name horse's neck. Their whisky boards were good too. The prices were a bit high but I had a good experience celebrating my husband's birthday both in the restaurant and bar. I'd come back to try brunch one day.

Service and ambiance was excellent! The food was just okay though, so it depends on taste. I had the salmon and brussels sprouts. They were good, but I thought they under seasoned and a bit boring. For the price point, I wanted something spectacular, exciting, or just a passionate. I would return for an app or drink because of the aesthetic and service, but it's not high on my list as a foodie.

I have eaten here on several occasions for leisure and recently stayed for a week for a work conference and my experience has been inconsistent in both service and taste of food in both scenarios. It's such a beautiful restaurant and they have amazing drinks, I love Bourbon, so I return in hopes of rediscovering that first experience. If you've never been it's definitely worth at least one visit, the deviled eggs are amazing and the 16 layer (I think it's 16) red velvet cake is one of a kind. It is a bit pricey but hotel restaurants usually are.

The atmosphere was upscale and relaxing. Our waitress was so helpful and friendly. The food was delicious and presented artfully. We had the salmon and the short ribs. Both were incredible. 3 hours of parking comes free which is great since the restaurant is located in the Intercontinental hotel.

Wonderful food! But the waiter we had should be an employee of the month. He not only did an outstanding job with recommendations with the menu and drinks, I had a choking moment and he walked me to the rest room and then continued to check on me for the remainder of our eating experience. I love great service and we totally received it. I made sure to tip this young man very well. I wish I could remember his name because he is excellent!

I'm not sure if this was actually southern art because the menu was really boring, maybe due to covid-19. The food was definitely good no complaints. We had a dinner for my son 18th birthday and our waiter Lorenzo was awesome. We had a large group and he did his thing and everything was nice and clean. Shoutout to them also because things kicked off 2hrs late due to traffic and waiting on more guest and the dining room manager said no problem we got you. Overall I'll duck back in for dinner again. Sorry I didnt take food pic or decor shots.

FIRST let me say, I normally would give this restaurant 5 stars- as I think I have written a review on trip advisor or travel zoo. . A group of us- 6 women, had brunch before going to see a Christmas performance downtown yesterday. The brunch place was my idea because I've had 3 or 4 really good meals here in the past and it's such a beautiful place. I don't live close by either, I'm 30 miles north, so I obviously l like the place. The brunch was $29 which seemed like a good deal, given the menu prices. There was great potential here, but none of the items that are on the menu were there at the buffet except for plain grits, and ham. No shrimp and grits, biscuits, fried chicken or Addies soup which are all my favorites. It was an average brunch you could get anywhere. They do have a carving station of beef tenderloin and prime rib. Unfortunately the meat was cold and flavorless. My friends had no complaints because they had never been and had no expectations. I will say, the service was very good. The host even remembered me from previous visits. I will be back for dinner, but probably not for brunch.

Very poor service, staff isn't knowledgeable on the menu, no followup from staff, given the wrong wine twice- when server was asked she didnt know what wine was poured and stated that they substitute similar wines when one runs out, website doesn't reflect the restaurant, presentation was poor at best. The only dish worth returning for was the fried green tomatoes, staff said the fried chicken was a specialty but it was soggy and oily, locally sourced hams definitely missed the mark, presented in wads of poorly sliced pieces that were completely unappealing- nothing to brag about here.

Was here for a work dinner with a limited menu. I opted for the fried chicken with mashed potatoes and green beans. I did not care for the chicken at all. It was so incredibly greasy and the chicken was actually a little dry. I would never recommend the fried chicken at all. I really wanted to like this place after reading all the reviews, but it just didn't happen. The service was top notch and wouldn't change a thing. Perhaps I'll try this place again in the future, but not likely. The soup was amazing though, the chicken and dumplings, even though I counted only 3 tiny pieces of chicken, and one small flat piece of pasta. Not quite chicken and dumplings, however was fantastic. Wouldn't recommend this restaurant.

Expensive, we were treated poorly. The charcuterie was small, and despite the claim to fame about the hams - ours had duck pastrami, head cheese, pate and prosciutto. The portion was barely enough for one. And then my favorite- “may we please have some more toast?” “They are having problems with the toast so you’re going to have to make do “.

The service and the food need some work, especially for the price. My party started by ordering cocktails at the bar while waiting to be seated and for the rest of our party. The waitress said she was going to put in our cocktail orders and have them brought to our table. 20 minutes later, after being seated, we find out from our waiter that she never even put the order in. Our table ordered the whole fried chicken and while the larger pieces were decently seasoned, it seems the chef threw in some drumettes as an afterthought. Well, the afterthought was tasteless and bland. No breading or seasoning at all. It’s as if they took them straight from the pack and threw them into oil. The cocktails were good and strong which we like and while our waiter was a little slow, he was very accommodating on the way we split our checks. For the overall experience, the price points could really come down at least 8% across the board. There are WAY better restaurant experiences in Atlanta where a table of 7, ordering no more than two cocktails each (I had one) and fried chicken would not cost well over $300 as this experience did. I would gladly pay that amount and more if the experience met the reasoning behind the high cost.

The ambience and service was nice and everyone was friendly. We were a large party celebrating a friend's birthday. Having followed Art, I was beyond excited to try the fried chicken. Albeit pricey, I figured as it was THE entree to get, it would be more than worth the $25 price tag. It was not. The biscuits were amazing, the mashed potatoes and green beans where good and the chicken was fried beautifully. I sliced a piece of the beautiful breast and nothing. It had no flavor! Seemed as if there was no seasoning used at all. After some salt and hot sauce (which I rarely use), it was edible, but for the price and the hype, all I should need is my appitite. Completely unimpressed with the food, but the staff were friendly and accommodating and we had a great time. Awesome save to the staff, sending an "L" to the cooks. Sorry

Super chic atmosphere...great service at the bar area...superb Bourbon selections...sub par service at the restaurant which is located adjacent to the bar...they were not busy at all, however our server was not attentive in the least bit...excellent food quality and selections...best biscuits and macaroni and cheese I've ever had...would definitely return!

Great place! The bourbon menu was outstanding. The fried green tomatoes were perfection. I would highly recommend this place.

Food was incredible. The friend green tomatoes were the best and the fried chicken was de-lish! Our server, Vontell was great despite the fact they were understaffed and he was dealing with a large station. They really should have a larger wait staff at this caliber of restaurant. The big treat was meeting Chef Art Smith!

Amazing food. I'm not a brunch kinda guy, but this one was outstanding! As always, the service was top notch and the choices on the brunch buffet were amazing! The bacon crispy, the sausage savory and beautifully spiced, the eggs fluffy and flavorful and the fruit, pastries, and many more items unbeatable! I've met Art a few times and he would be proud that they are creating his vision each day in this restaurant!

Food was amazing, but a tad overpriced. Excellent place to celebrate special event or birthday, but not as a regular occurrence. Staff was wonderful and highly attentive and knowledgeable about the menu and drink selections. Only thing keeping it from five stars is price all around.

Wonderful Mother's Day brunch, delicious cuisine, delightful atmosphere, exceptional service, outstanding jazz band! Will return and recommend - thank you for a memorable Mother's Day event! 🌸

Went for lunch, terrible service, waited for over 40 mins for the food to arrive and orders were wrong. Sent food back to be corrected and the chicken returned to our table RAW?!?! Waitress never refilled our water glasses? Not worth the money wasted. Very disappointed 😔
