My wife and I have been eating here for at least 25 years. I just absolutely love their cheesy chicken wrap and my wife is a total sucker for the Euro with provolone. We always get the fries and a feta dressing on the side to dip them into. We are just as happy today as we were the first time we came here with their food and service.
I like their food. Sometimes their food is a little bit expensive, other times I think it is okay.
Staff is usually friendly, but I had bad experience one time. I was trying to understand how is one wrap different from another, i didn't take a lot of time (it was less than a minute), but the staff rudely said, hurry up! He could have said that nicely. However, it was just that one time.
Overall, I recommend the place.
This restaurant was founded in 1979 and I have been going there to eat for decades. I highly recommend it. Their super Gyro is the best you will find anywhere. When you enter the restaurant there is a counter but keep going past it to the right to find their small dining room with A set of tables. It is very casual and informal. Nothing fancy. Just good food. . I have been eating Gyros all over the United States and I always come back to this one for the very best.
If you're like me and like to sit outside, this is the place to be! Gyros are on point! Staff is courteous and friendly! If you are in downtown Athens, you have to stop by!
I enjoyed my visit to Gyro Wrap. The food was prepared very well and in a timely fashion. I ordered the basic gyro and it tasted fantastic with the meat well cooked and the fries were crisp with no burnt fries or soggy ones.
The server was unpleasant and the worst part of the whole visit. She was abrupt with her questions, sharp with her tone, never bothered to see if we needed refills or get any extra sauce we asked for.
I plan on coming back because I enjoyed the food so much, but hopefully with a different server
A little quiet on a Wednesday night, however the service was great, Virginia was very attentive, the gyro was perfect and the price amazing! We really enjoyed the side of z sauce to dip our curly fries in! If you are in Athens and want some greek this is the place to visit!
Consistently one of the best lunch joints in Athens. I always get the Gyro Wrap with curly fries and have yet to be disappointed. The wait staff is always very friendly and the cashier never fails to ask if everything was alright. Even if you don't like Mediterranean food, you should go.
