Review Dairy Queen - Astoria

Great food, me and my sister went through the drive thru, and it was moderately fast, so it's not bad. Our order got to us exactly right, and they even flipped over our blizzards, and we got them just right! (The blizzards are really good!)

Great views, staff are friendly. They gave us the wrong kids meal drinks and at first acted weird about giving the kids chocolate milk. Wanted the cups back to use to make their chocolate milk. We thought that was weird, you can't take food or things back in the food prep area that customers have touched. But they did eventually bring the right ones.

If you need a quick snack, they have food here.

Fantastic view of the water as it is right next to it. The food and service was great but the building is a little run down.

We love Dairy Queen. This was probably the nicest one. Staff was extremely nice. The dining area was clean as well as the counter area. The location was perfect.

Food is good and decent price. The drive thru times are longer than normal, but if you consider most of their food is made to order, it's understandable. Until dine in is open again, don't come here if you're in a hurry. But, if you want a filling meal for $6, this is a great stop.

As we all get used to the idea off waiting in line once again, the folks here did their best to keep the flow going. Waiting time was reasonable, the food was nice and hot. Looking forward to coming back for that butterscotch double dip come.

We live near this Dairy Queen and went to order a banana split (off the menu) only to be told that they didn't have any banana's but she could make me something that tasted like a banana split. She gave it the old college try but, it did not work. Tasted like a strawberry shake. But hey, she tried!

Last time I was there, the chocolate ice cream machine was broken.......still. so, they couldn't make anything with chocolate ice cream as an ingredient. I mean, I'm not a picky dude but, you should be able to make all of your regular menu items. If it was just the one time, no big deal. Several months later though, it was still broken.

Worst customer service ever!! Screwed up my order then proceeded to argue with me even with my receipt! Never again!

The last three times I've gone there the customer service has been horrible. I would have to repeat myself or explain what I wanted. Most of my order would either be messed up or wrong or something left out. Also had to wait in the drive thru when I was the only vehicle for 15 minutes only to be asked to park so I could sit for another 15 minutes. Today was the last time I went there and they had messed up the order when I asked for the owners number or how to contact the owner the manager refused and would only give me her number or the stores. Wouldn't give me the office or leave a message for the owner.

It's come to the point that I have to say something about this. It's customer service and the lack of common sense. I made a simple order of three milkshakes and a box of dilly bars. Paid 15 bucks and stepped to the side so other patrons could place their orders. After a short wait I was notified my order was ready for pick up. I stepped up and the girl gave me a box of dilly bars and she just looked at me. I asked were the three milkshakes were. Then she said oh I'll make them now. I stood there for five minutes then asked if they could put the dilly bars back in the freezer so they wouldn't melt while I waited for the rest of my order which they gladly did. I waited for over five more minutes for her to finish making the milkshakes. She brought them to me with a smile. Gave them to me and I asked for the box of dilly bars and explained to her that I didn't want them to melt while the rest of my order was prepared. Why give half of a frozen confection order and let it start thawing before the rest of the order is completed? When they should of given it to me all at the same time. Then when I took a sip of my milkshake it didn't have enough ice cream in it and was the consistency of banana flavored milk. It was the same with the other two shakes. Having not enough ice cream and was nothing more than chocolate and strawberry flavored milk. I would not be writing this now if this was the only time I wasn't pleased with my order. A few months ago I came to the queen for an order to go which had a Sunday as part of the order. I gave them my order and sat down and waited for them to call me when it was ready . No big deal. I was brought out the Sunday with a nice little plastic lid on it and I explained that I wasn't going to be eating it because it was someone else's and they walked off and started taking other patrons orders like it didn't even registered. I then waited for the rest of the order to be prepared. Since the order wasn't for me I didn't eat the Sunday. It sat and melted until the rest of the order was completed and brought out to me. Even if the order was for me I'm not accustomed to eating a desert before the main course. I grew up in a small town in the midwest. People in a service based business such as fast food businesses cared about pleasing customers. I've lived in several states, in large cities as well as small towns and received excellent to adequate service. But here in Astoria, the people employed in fast food and some other businesses act like they are doing the customer a favor by taking their orders and giving shoddy service. There are exceptions to this and from now on I'll be spending my money with them.

Wow dq really needs to think about who they have working for them! Ur employees HARASSED a dear friend of my family until she quit her job there! My family will no longer be spending our money in this location!

Horrible Service. Some food items where missing from the order and employees need to just leave.

Drive thru is terrible. Never once have they gotten our orders right. I really don't think we will ever be back here again.
