Busu - Astoria - Photo album

My absolute favorite food in Astoria! It’s unique, delicious, and the owner uses all kinds of local produce and goods. Highly recommend!
This place was killer and the chef/owner is an awesome guy, really nice to chat with. It’s worth it to sit there, assuming there are free chairs when you arrive. Will be back 100%.
If your looking for fresh and local ingredients in your meal, this place is a must try. Hands down, one of the best ramen soups I’ve ever had, and the miso clams are so delicious.
Best meal we had in Astoria by far. So fresh and delicious. The chef was friendly and interesting. He changes the menu frequently to use local and seasonal ingredients. We sat at the tiny counter and had a wonderful lunch even in some July rain. We will be back!
Very good. This is the definition of a hole in the wall in the best way!! Highly recommend! Fresh ingredients, few item menu so everything has been perfected or at least pretty damn close to it. The owner is the only one that cooks so it’s the same every time! Absolutely amazing. If your in Astoria
yeah this was the best fried rice we’ve ever had. you can just taste the love and care and passion that went into creating the food. I loved hearing the chef talking about getting local and fresh ingredients. amazing
We were lucky when we walked up, we were the first ones there! We decided to split the Kim chi fried rice. It was more than enough for both of us. The smoked tofu was flavored throughout. There were three other people behind us when we left, and five in line when we walked by later!
I knew this place had to be good when I swung by at 6:30 on a Saturday and they were already Sold Out. Came back on Sunday and I was not disappointed! Amazing food, heft portions and great service, worth the wait (only about 20 mins). I'll be back next time I'm in town!
Hands down THE BEST food experience we had on our entire trip up the Oregon Coast! The food and chef were so amazing we went there three times! Really cool combination of seafood and Japanese food. The flavor is fantastic and the ingredients are local. What more can you ask for? If you haven't stopp
I’m eating their curry right now. It’s super delicious, and the guy serving it was A+++ nice. Will definitely stop here every time I pass thru Astoria.
Telling you truth, I was very skeptical at first. A small city, small stand with only service window, no sittings. And a lot of good reviews. All this together looks like a fake. IT is not. BUSU, in my opinion, is a Michelin place of street food. Here is no joke or an exaggeration. You may (or have)
Tuna Poke Bowl. Probably one of the best things I've ever eaten.
The last meal of the year 2022 had to be special. So we drove all the way from Portland to find a hole in the wall BUSU, disappointed struck as most things on the menu was sold out within the first hour of opening. But so glad we tried the 'ribeye with shrimp', I can now confirm that, my taste buds
What a find! I certainly didn't expect to stumble upon this literal hole-in-the-wall with my partner on a random dreary day in Astoria, let alone a place serving okonimiyaki. It was a 45 minute wait but well worth it: the okonimiyaki with the pickle plate really hit the spot and made for a good take
Such a wonderful small takeout place for great Japanese food. Loved the okonomiyaki. Sells out fast on Fri/Sat but we arrived on Sunday with only a short wait.
First time here...the reviews definitely live up to their reputation. Delicious and perfectly located to walk across the street and grab a table to share food and drinks with friends. Highly recommend!
I make a point to stop by every time I’m in town. Every dish I’ve ever had here has been exceptional. Always local, fresh and sometimes foraged ingredients. Sooo good!!!
