Charlie's is "Old Astoria". Order the clam chowder - ours was just full of extremely fresh cut up clans (not ground, not canned)! Only order a cup of chowder if you are ordering something else. Servings are ample. The decor is Island themed. There is a bar as well.

Maybe the best bowl of chili I've ever had. Great gumbo and jambalaya. Lots of seafood choices. Good prices. Wide selection on the menu. Good honest food at good honest prices. Great milkshakes, too.

Nothing fancy and they were very behind on bussing tables, however, the clam chowder was very good, the halibut fish and chips were pretty good and the crab melt was also good. The staff was friendly and for the cost we left happy. Didn't expect a little joint to be 5 star but I will come back :)

We stopped in on a damp cool day in October during our Highway 101 adventure and had the clam chowder and Phil Cheese and it was awesome! Definately the best we have had on our two week trip. Great folks and great service. Thank you for a great lunch!

The clam chowder tasted great, although it could have been a little hotter, we also had the cake cakes......yummy!!! There was two of them on a bed of cabbage, with sauces on the side. It was awesome.....I wanted more, lots more.....
