I haven't been here in years, last time we were able to bet on the ponies, not now, and that's not a big deal, you can still play the Oregon slot machines but don't think you can get rich. On our visit we just wanted drinks, but the food that I saw looks great. My margarita was sub par, I won't order again. They have a great pinball selection for us who like that. I'll cycle back again.

Local tavern in Astoria with view of Columbia river. Food was decent. Wife and I got street tacos. Three tasty pork tacos, we should've shared them, they were so big. Has pinball, poker, and slot machines. Atmosphere is dark with lots of paraphernalia on the walls.

I needed to go to the Merry Time to watch the Mountain West Championship game as power to our house was out due to a weather power outage. I asked the manager if it would be possible to get the game on one of the screens. He put it on the big screen for and tuned the volume down on the other screens as I was the only patron truly interested in watching one of the games. I had street tacos and Dr. Pepper and then, when the game was over, I took an order of street tacos home to my wife as she is caring for her 101 year old mother. We are from Idaho and will be here through the end of December, plus. I definitely will come here again.

The Merry Time is the best bar in Astoria. A big cavernous main room, with sports on many screens. They have some good bar food, and cheap drinks.
Upstairs is a mezzanine with 14 pinball machines, which are well maintained and curated.
The bartenders are friendly, and efficient, and there is plenty of comfy spots to sit and hang with friends. It’s got everything.

Great place, all genders are welcome 21+ drag brunch on some Sundays. Great food, all the cooks are well respected, and know what they're going so is the bar staff. Great management. Everyone is so kind it's clean, and they also have pinball upstairs etc thank you 😊

Fun staff and fantastic food! They have a good variety of pinball machines and gambling machines. They were doing a trivia night on the Wednesday that we went. Overall a great place with awesome vibes!

We like this place for decent bar food and affordable cocktails. They also have pinball machines and lots of things to do for fun like board games, outdoor seating and trivia nights. It's a great place to relax and remember to never take yourself too seriously. It's perfect for fun, causal date or night out with friends!

I'm new in town, and was looking for a good pub to enjoy a brew and a meal. I'd heard that the Merry Time Bar & Grill was a local legend, and decided to give it a go.
I ordered the 'Merry Monster Burger', with the homemade Hungarian Mushroom soup. It was huge, it was beyond delicious, and it was very affordable... So yes, I agree, the Merry Time is tops for hamburger 🍔 and beer 🍺, and with a very friendly bar and kitchen.
I will definitely return soon to try some more of the local brews and meals.

Came here with some friends that are locals and I love the environment. Prices are decent and the service is always on point. I can't wait to come back!!! Def check out trivia nights.... It's popping!!!!

I really want to give this place a better review. I really, really do. This is a very cool bar! Their pinball machines are very well maintained, and everyone there is super nice. But, i will never order food or drinks here because of the smell. It's rank. The balcony isn't as bad, but it's still not good. I know that smell from owning old bars, and working in them. This place needs a very deep cleaning. I truly wish this establishment was living up to it's full potential. Owning and running a bar is very hard work, and i don't envy anyone doing it.

The Chicken Tenders and fresh cut fries are my go to. Kaylie, Fester, Lenny, Dougie and Andre are A1 people. They treat you like Family. Customer service extraordinaire. A testament to the ownership. Think you know a little about a lot of stuff? Wednesday Trivia Night is for you. When in Astoria this is a must place to visit! Something for everyone!

Amazing burgers, great drinks and super friendly service. This hidden little jem in Astoria was a great find. My burger was cooked to perfection and they remembered to hold the onions off like I asked too. Very happy with their service, food, and drinks
