Mochiron - Astoria - Photo album

Here goes another one of my favorite spots to have my ramen & Japanese fix in the Astoria area. The Mochiron (chicken broth w/ torched porks, egg, bamboo shoot, scallion & nori seaweed) for the cold winter days is always a must for me and my family, the food is always fresh, flavorful, crispy and co
My partner and I have been coming here for almost two years now and we love it every time. The food is really good and staff is very friendly. We use to bring our visitors here and they all seem to love it too.
Dark atmosphere. Food was above average. The Katsu Curry was filling and flavorful. My friends got the spicy ramen and original, it’s a favorite for two of them. One of them said it was alright.
Authentic ramen, the house miso style was an interesting take of a miso broth. The waitstaff were nice and friendly. I would come back to try other dishes, as they have other food aside from ramen.
Edited review after been there dozen of times during the past couple of years. This place is actually amazing. I really misjudged my first impression. The food is actually very tasty, all their Don's meals, fried stuff, are simply the best and done exactly right. Special mentions to the Snow Chicke
I didn’t really like their ramen, it was pretty poor. But that’s really the only thing we tried and some rice balls. The waitress was very nice and friendly
The food was simple, flavorful, and comforting. Just what I wanted on a cold night. The servers were all very polite and attentive, and the decor was a fun mix of traditional and pop culture Japanese. Great place all around.
Nice and cozy place. The food was really good and the waitress was very friendly and attentive. We will definitely come back. We tried they chicken katsu curry, the chicken katsu don, an order of their takoyaki which was really good. We also had some drinks as well, draft sapporo beer and a bottle
The food was super delicious, my favorite were the okonomiyaki, kaki fry and grilled spelt. The service was warm, friendly and efficient. Cant complain honestly, I would go back for dinner and to chill with some beers and sake
The food is so good! The staff was very attentive. The ramen was perfect. The prices are fair for the taste and size.
Great place for 30th! We ordered something from each section of the menu (it is quite a few pages) and everything that came out was great. Lots of small plates to share so everyone can get a taste with options that are grilled, fried or raw. Lots of fish, chicken, pork and beef. We split a rice
Every time I visit, I try something new on the menu and am never disappointed. The portion sizes are adequate. I always leave feeling adequate- full but not heavy and overstuffed. Great service and friendly atmosphere. Will return and would definitely recommend.
Has an anime themed interior. Food tastes authentic. Service is attentive. Been there several times since it is one of the few izakaya in Queens.
A authentic and fresh blend of Japanese and Korean food. Such a great unexpected surprise. The service was pleasant and fast. The ambience takes you out of the busy NY environment. Enjoy yourself with this gem.
Cool little spot along 30th. Unpretentious with reasonably priced ‘tapas’ like servings. Our waitress was the cutest! I think she is Japanese and she was so polite and friendly. Great service! Cute little outdoor sitting too and all staff were wearing a mask
The waiter was very attentive, and their kitsune udon reminded me of Japan. They also have great drinks for an affordable price. Definitely coming again!
I have been here three times in quick succession, after the first time I stopped by, it has become legitimately hard to walk down the block without stopping by for some ramen. Alcoholic drinks are pretty standard Japanese and American fare, can't go wrong with a Sapporo or an Asahi, with some Sake,
Authentic feeling Japanese ramen spot. I always get the mochiron ramen because it’s hearty and the broth is very creamy. The vegetarian ramen with tofu was also well received but of course it’s hard to have as much flavor as ones with chicken broth. Service is always good and the restaurant has a ni
