I ordered the everything green açaí bowl. The texture of the purée was excellent and made fresh. It wasn’t an artificially sweetened glop. Overall the atmosphere and selection of vegan options is best I’ve seen in Astoria!

Hidden gem in Astoria with healthy vegan options. Everything is always fresh and delicious. Great sandwiches, empanadas and baked goods. Prices are a bit high but you be satisfied with great food

Fresh Start is one of Astoria's sensory treasures. What a delicious combination of amazing food (try the Rainbow Sandwich), soothing products, and wonderful service. In particular, Haroula is so friendly, knowledgeable, and helpful! Cannot recommend highly enough!

Great tasting and healthy food! It usually bothers when i eat outside and never had the same feeling when I start my day here with a pico toast! And blue mermaid is HIGHLY recommended! Ahhh my favourite! Thank you guys <3

Went there 3x last week; got their "Fakin' Bacon" sandwich one evening, and their vegan scrambled egg sandwich on a morning. (And a couple groceries the 3rd visit.) Both were delicious!And filling! And less expensive than some similar options i was getting in the area. Each time was a different woman at the counter, and they were all very helpful and personable. (For those who aren't vegan- they do prepare some non-vegan foods as well.) So glad to have found this place. Oh, also got a donut. That one was a bit too sweet, but i might still give a couple more of their dessert items a chance next time.

I've always loved this neighborhood gem but lately I've grown to love them even more because I've been ordering from them daily since I'm having construction done on my kitchen. They have quality natural, organic and vegan food, give ample portion sizes and above all, it's delicious! I also love the they throw in an occasional sample of their delicious vegan desserts! Highly recommend!

I highly recommend this eatery! I just received my first delivery order from them and was compelled to leave a nice review. I loved all of their vegan options. Baked goods are not as good as they used to be? Not sure what changed :( .. overall the quality of the food is very good though. REAL healthy and Organic foods so I understand the cost just Wish the service / prep was a bit smoother . Love this place and hope they can take the feedback. Update 3/21 They definitely seem to be back on track with the service prep and baking!!!! Nice work guys.

I absolutely love this place!! Since I’m vegan, being in this store is like being a kid in a candy shop! All desserts are vegan and mostly gluten free, and SO delicious. Besides the very tempting treats, all of the food I’ve had has been super fresh; there really is a difference in organic food. Can’t wait to keep trying more of their “guilt free” treats and meals

Really nice place , great food and an out of this world cookie, muffin and cupcake section ! If you have a sweet tooth they are a must try . They are also vegan and gluten free which adds to their awesomeness ! They also carry really good juices and smoothies , try the immunity booster or the flu shot , both great for boosting your immune system . I eat here often , everything is fresh and it is one place that you can count on for having real organic food as well as produce . I love this shop! ❤️

Love this little spot. I’ve liked everything I’ve tried here, especially the Fakin’ Bacon. Very nicely decorated too. Their coffee is meh, but that’s not worth deducting stars.
