This place is way better than you'd expect from the old signage. Very quick and friendly service, and quick short order grill cooking. Nice and fresh and tasty. Good value.

I've only been here a couple of times, but both times, the men behind the counter were quite friendly and I didn't feel rushed when choosing my dozen donuts. The prices are very good and the donuts themselves are even better (if you are used to franchise donuts you're in for a treat).

The people behind the counter are friendly, the food is great, the donuts are great, the coffee is great. Seriously. If you're in the neighborhood, just go in and try it out.
The doughnuts and bagels here aren't the greatest but the guy at the counter is always friendly and efficient, hence the 4 stars instead of 3.

Peeps here are great! A nice, super casual spot with seating and that's hard to come by in Astoria sometimes!
